Varun Bajaj, 11 Jun 2013Anyone in India got the update as yet..?Just getting updated
That is y i love Sammy Mobil than Sony. Even their latest flagship have jelly bean out of the box with very low specs compared to xperia s. I just dnt get y this should be the last update since its Sony's first after the breakup with Ericsson then this shouldn't be. These manufacturers think we are fools instead of doing something better about delivering out better updates they rather make new phones with low specs and wants us to buy. If sony does not update xperia s to 4.3 or even key lime pie as they call, i for one is done with sony and move to Samsung. Because its trash that even low end phones areon jb. Anyway no jelly bean here in Ghana
brisac, 09 Jun 2013will sony relase 4.2 Jelly Bean update for this mobile??Even if they will it is coming next year. Or decade. Or never. I have already been waiting for JB for tooooooo long. And I am done with it. I will not buy any new Sony phone ever.
stan16, 11 Jun 2013Hi kababayan, Last saturday i reverted back to ICS(.55) due to laggy and buggy JB (.200). W... moreYes your right, did the same rollback to ics, connected back to pc qnd got a notification for the .200 jb update. So Although Sony are working on a fix, the original .200 jb is still available ;)
Does anyone know how to delete an older backup using "Back up & restore"? Is that possible or do we have to delete them manually? My OS is ICS.
I am pretty sure that its not that good now. Earlier, idle phone use to eat only 1 or 2 percent of battery in 5-6 hours, but now its more then 10%. I dont know why.. Also it takes more time to charge now.
NatsuPH, 10 Jun 2013Well, in the link that you gave, it says there that Sony will release a new update which I als... moreHi kababayan,
Last saturday i reverted back to ICS(.55) due to laggy and buggy JB (.200). When i plug my phone to my pc, it prompted that a software update is available for my phone (which is .200). So i 'think' that you were wrong that Sony pulled out the update. Brother, im not only speaking for what i read, also for what i saw and experienced.
From what i understand, your word "pulled away" means that Sony stopped sending .200 update to XS users the reason why someone named Xperia S Users didn't get the update.
P.S. im sorry, i never intend to make you feel that.
is Sony Xperia S new update is available in UAE ... please if someone know tell us ... wid thanks
Sony are releasing a new update soon from next week on. I had flashed the jelly bean update to my phone but ended up reverting back to ics because jelly bean for the xperia s is just horrible. It's bugged. Face unlock would sometime fail to appear (needing two or three presses of the power button to get it working). 1080p full hd recording would lag.
Jelly Bean is supposed to have project butter, but found it laggy.
Reverting back to ics I can see that ics is alot smoother.
My advice, wait for the amended version of jelly bean that sony is supposed to be releasing starting from next week.
Anyone please help me with the issue: I owned xperia s which have 6.1.A.2.55 build number, as i referred many websites it is showing that sony has released the 4.1.2(jelly bean) update long ago. when i search for any updates on my phone, it is showing that you already have latest update i.e ics which sony released it in jun 2012. please sort my prob. out
I am trying to be friendly as much as I can but I just can't let other people to ruin my image or to make other people think I'm lieing, or else, I will be the worst person you'll met.
stan16, 08 Jun 2013they did not pulled out the update.. they will just release a new firmware (6.2.B.0.211) for X... moreWell, in the link that you gave, it says there that Sony will release a new update which I also said on my comment. But it is not included there what Sony did with the preceeding update. I've read an article that Sony has pulled away the .200 update and currently working on a newer update which is .211 and is an improved version of .200 that includes some major bug fixes. Try to research first before releasing a statement so that other readers will not think that others that also commented and DID a research with infos not agreeing with your comment are just lieing.
P.S. I am not mad, I am just annoyed because I don't want someone to think that I'm lieing even if I am saying the truth.
shakalaka, 06 Jun 2013my Xperia S build no is 6.1.A.2.45 ..why I can't update it to JB ??i saw someone replied to yoou. but NO you don't need to update to .55 to get JB. mine was .50 and i flashed it to JB .200. but just wait for new update .211 it will fix the whole issues found in .200. *hopefully next week.
