have this fone. nice. battery need recharge every 2 days. interface need to learn. hard to type with one hand (thumb only) your finger needs to be right on top of virtual key for it recognize correctly. 4 band 3g good. can travel. can tether nicely to pc (windows and ubunut). Sound output volumes: typically poor as most Sony i believe. ringer not at all loud enough. (not like nokia). found bugs in adding words to dictionary. found apps built in like pregnancy calender which i don't need. worried about "deep facebook" integration? WTF is dat? fb get regular updates on your activities? Sony getting paid from FB for dis? bad feature.
OK android fone. too many models coming out from Sony like samsung. maybe they copy marketing approach. consumer in dark.
In terms of Pros and Cons I am not convinced that no ICS is a con on a small phone. Google have really blundered by producing a bloated and buggy new OS requiring much more power to run. I am not convinced it makes sense to go to ICS let alone the lack of ICS being deemed a con.
On the same topic if this phone was on ICS I would list the RAM as a Con (same as for the one V) as ICS reserves 340mb so that does not leave much.
I am interested to know more about the browser (since at present you need to keep the standard browser to run Floating Touch). Can you go into a full true screen mode and hide the top phone indicator bar?
Can anyone answer that?
Also, what is the spacing like on the favourites and what are the display options of favourites (pictures view, list view, sort by usage, sort alphabetical, user defined sequence).
Also what are the tab control options? Display tabs/swipe between tabs?
Can you set text size?
Can you edit a URL on the page you are on? (this is impossible on my Defy+)

before i was thinking of buying htc one V, but after reading so many bad comments about it, i changed my mind, then i was looking at xperia U, everything seems to be ok, except for the NON expandable memory, i think 4GB is not enough for a smart phone, now im pretty sure what im getting, XPERIA SOLA!!!, this phone rocks, a bit expensive than U but the expandable memory, bigger screen, floating touch is just perfect. i think its the best in the price range.

rj09, 30 May 2012im planning to buy this phone this week end i just want to ask a few thing;
- is the batter... moreBattery life is 10-12 hours. if your usage of phone is not much.Please note that more applications and internet you use, phone is going to use more battery.Charger is with usb cable so u can charge your phone in office attaching with you laptop/desktop..so not to worry..
Camera clarity is amazing and touch screen and other applications are superb..unlike HTC one V..it is a good looking phone and also very much light weight....
guys, which one better? Xperia U or Xperia Sola (doesn't care bout memory), both look awesome with average price, and both hv their specialty... and for music, which one better??
Is Sony Xperia Sola better or HTC one V ?? Please someone telllllllllllllllllll
tiara, 30 May 2012M thinkin abt buyin dis fone.. is der ny bttr fone in dis range? Plz helpIf you're looking only at Sony and the price then "I" would rather buy the Arc S even though it is about 7 months older. Do a compare and see for yourself. Not to start a debate but the specs on the Sola are overkill for a 3.7 inch device. Heavy smartphone users don't buy 3.7 inch devices so I dont see the point of a dual core on a 3.7 inch device.
im planning to buy this phone this week end i just want to ask a few thing;
- is the battery life good
- it has a option for alpa numeric
- how about the camera
those who r nt satisfied with sola go for xperia go
