This phone is the worst smartphone I have ever had. It is beautiful, looks solid, and has a nice screen.
After 2 updates by Sony, it has become very slow. When the screen is in standby, it takes approx 1 minute to wake it up. Start up sms: 40 to 50 seconds. Start Facebook : 1 to 2 minutes. It is a shame that Sony puts such horrendously slow mobile on the market. And my phone is only 2 months old !! Deleting all unwished apps did not change anything. This phone is not work 100 dollars. To be avoided at all costs.

fine then, but droid mini is still more expensive than SP. so it's just normal for it to have better specs. -bottomline is they shouldn't have been compared in the first place. Xperia Z is the proper phone to compare it with :)

Well droid mini wasn't available in india but the moto x (with same specs except bigger screen) costed Rs. 18000 ($290 approx.) while the xperia sp costs Rs. 14500 ($234 approx.). Well anyways moto x was a way better phone so the extra cash was well worth it.
