ssquared, 21 Sep 2013I am not trolling..
You can verify other people also have wi-fi issue from here: http://ta... moreNot everything that you read on the internet are all true, some are exaggerating and some are trolling just to put a particular product in a bad light. But i'm not saying that all of them are just merely trolls, some really have valid reasons to complain about. Even i have some complaints about this phone before( e.g. Overheating ) but it was fixed already.
I suggest that you reset your phone to its factory settings or much better if you update it software to it latest version. If its updated already then just "repair" it.
And if you have just bought that phone for less than a week maybe then you can go to where you get that and let them replace it or fix it. You have mentioned very serious problems in the unit you got from Sony Store, so i think the best thing to do is return it to them and let them fix it for i'm sure that you've given 1 year warranty upon purchase. Then fight for your right as a legitimate customer.
Anyone please tell me about overheating issue please? I hear this set have overheating issue. Please tell me details. Advance thanks to all.
so far so good,i started to love it more since purchase.happy owner of SP here from Philippines!

Non removable means it can't remove easily as normal battery. But its also removable( u must loose some screw nails ). You can verify other people also have wi-fi issue from here: http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/...E/m-p/315784
I tried the Stamina mode OFF, but that too not helping.
Can you please give the following setting you have set your mobile to? Mine is as following
1. Settings > WiFi > Advanced > Keep WiFi on during Sleep (Always)
2. Settings > WiFi > Advanced > Avoid Poor Connections (Unchecked)
3. Settings > WiFi > Advanced > Auto IP Support (Checked)
4. Setting > Power Management > Stamina Mode (OFF)
5. Settings > Power Management > Low Battery Mode (OFF)
6. Settings > Display > Sleep (After 2mins of inactivity)
I used to read reviews from GSMArena and the prices for devices and compare, and finally arrived at Sony Xperia SP, which is for sure a good buy, but this WiFi issue is really annoying.
I wish I had read the sonymobile forums before buying.
I really appreciate if you could provide the working settings of yours.
