Qualcomm previews APQ8064 chipset with quad-core Krait CPU
July 17th, 2012, 13:17 by Chip 54 comments
"The Krait powered Qualcomm S4 chipsets are great, right? They give you the best per-core performance of any architecture out there and have the best power efficiency thanks to that 28nm manufacturing process. The only problem is that Krait-powered chipsets are only available in dual-core flavor for now, while competing solutions give you twice that. "
Read that last sentence very carefully ok..
why is there a problem with dual cores when as you say are better than quads? why??
google quad vs dual and youll find your answers
im done

i think you dont read people comments carefuly
you must realize what the reason sony fans wrote the cpu of xperia T with S4 krait label
learn to know about krait
in other side, you must think why dual core of T has greater score than S3 that uses quadcore, how can it be ??
i want to know, how do you result S3 quadcore will be more powerful or useful than s4 krait without benchmark score ? tell me

> In reply to Think smart @ 2012-09-04 14:21 from KiNT - click to readOn the whole, a system with a faster dual-core will 'FEEL' faster in day-to-day work, but the quad core will reward you when you multitask or the more esoteric/scientific your work. This is of course, a generality, but it generally fits.
Having a multicore CPU means that the processor can work on more than one problem at a time, or it can work on a large problem more efficiently if the program is built that way... ie multi-tasking
When you have a single task that needs to be done right away, multiple cores can help you by breaking the task into smaller chunks, working on each chunk in parallel, and thus you'll get your work done quicker. An example of this is the 3D rendering of a still image.
yes the dual may download the file quicker the quad will handle the file better..
when both the dual and quad are at 80-90% full (remember the xperia t is only available in 16gb)
the dual will become sluggish.. the quad is much better equipped to running at normal speeds..
At the moment android OS is more suited to dual cores and thats why these benchmark tests are in favor of dual cores (and again these tests do not pick up the 4 cores of the quads cpu) but as technology/especially gaming and apps progress (which they are very quickley)the quad will have a better shelf life meaning it will continue to perform well for some time to come...unlike the dual core.
thank youuuuuu

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2012-09-04 12:34 from vMew - click to readif an assumtion or feeling as your reference to result a phone so that is not reliable/credible, do you know what that mean ?
In future you will know and realize that samsung S3 cpu is not good enough to handle future file which has big size, it means you will notice the speed, upgradeable is limited, anything is limited with problem like laggy ect
Xperia T can handle what samsung s3 cant handle
example to explain it :
i will use some levels : 1-10
samsung S3 can run only 1-5 level apps, it means level 5 is limitation of S3 power
Xperia T is 1-9, it means level 9 is limitation of T power
when both phones download/install/play level 3 of app/feature (example : 150MB size), S3 is still great but Xperia T is still better and faster (S3 takes 30 minutes to finish the download but T only takes 15 minutes)
but when samsung has a problem (laggy)because of level 5 app but Xperia T is still great to handle the app till level 9
now you are still happy (say speed is unnoticeable) with your S3 because apps of this day are in 1-5 level condition

i never said that... LOL!!! i said the difference will be unnoticeable in real terms ... all you see is fast or slow.. cpu's are not as simple as that but obviously you are..
