Anuj, 22 May 2012Hello everyone... This of you wondering whether to go for Neo V or Htc One V or Xperia U, A... moreDoes it really matter about viewing angles?? Seriously who looks at their phones screen from the side?? Think you need to get out more. As for force closing that's down to apps not the phone

Wow, lots of lovers and haters of the Xperia U...
I'v heard that there have been compatibility problems in the past between the Sony's Timescape UI and Android, has this problem been fixed with the Xperia U?
Is the lagging just when watching HD movies? How about web browsing/running apps/sound quality?
Xperia U & USB OTG---
USB OTG - the next level of technology....
Recently, I had bought Xperia U and as known there is limited memory with no memory card slot...so I was missing the expansion of the memory...then I was through the user's opinion here in Gsmarena...and came to find out thru web friends (Sandeep & Sanj94) that there is a support for USB OTG in Xperia U....
I bought a cable and tried following things....and it worked fine... :-)
1) We can use pendrive/memory card readers etc... with Xperia U thru USB OTG cable...and now the limited memory problem is solved....
2) We can connect a USB mouse directly to phone thru USB OTG cable ...it works fine!!!...We can use mouse with phone - just for fun!!! left clicks selects an app...double click opens app...scroll works fine..scroll click opens (android) menu....right clicks makes us return to previous screen.
3) I am missing USB keyboard since I use a laptop...
but I have wireless mouse and keyboard....I had attached wireless transmitter to phone using USB OTG cable....and I was able to use mouse and keyboard with my phone....made my feel like I am using tiny computer.....computer keyboard made the input to phone much faster and easier.....I can use it for chatting, blogging, emailing...and guess what not!!
In future I think devices with USB OTG facility and alike phone are going to replace heavy computers CPUs from our homes....
Three cheers for USB OTG support!!!

thanks a ton for the suggestion of USB OTG cable....I got one for 150 bucks....and ohhh dear my problem of extendable memory got solved instantly....thanks man!!
And not only this I got a lot of USB devices getting connected to my phone... wow for USB OTG!!!
Hi, I m looking forward to buy this phone and I also got a chance to put my hands on this phone for trial before buying. One thing which I have noticed is the touch sensitivity. When compared with HTC One V having a single core processor, the touch of xperia U is having some lag. HTC sense is very smooth to touch and running without any lag. Does anybody else also noticed somthing like this? Currently I am using xperia mini pro, the touch of which is very smooth, so I have expected much better from xperia U.
Anonymous, 22 May 2012Don't buy this phone SERIOUSLY It lags playing even some of my 720p movies and it has only 2 ... more200 mp3's a physical limit, or because you are using very high encoding quality? I have about 500 mp3's on my 2GB featurephone, with plenty of space free for photos still. Just need to encode appropriately for the listening medium, with a good quality compressor.
My sis is looking for a pink phone. I want to introduce her to android. I always love Sony. All the specs in this phone is right, except for the memory. If only it's not just 4GB. My sony ericsson android phone has 8GB micro sd and it's almost half full. It still does not contain all my fave songs. :(
