And probably the fastest dual-core phone at that time. Had so much fun with it from official 4.1 until cusrom 5.1.1 :D
UhateSonyRight, 31 Mar 2017This engineer is great! If I would have been an Engineer The situation would be different.Whatever I spoke its fact if you go back two years from now they were some awesome devices like xperia M,SP,T2Ultra which were too good for daily user and for developer but present Xperia devices are lagging. The technology improves but it doesn't get deprove which is present seen in Xperia models. If you ever used an Xperia device you would understand the difference of xperia device which is at present and past.
Sony perfects it's product unlike other brands they will show you new features on their technology but in the end it's still in progress and it fails to do what it should be.
Android Freak, 06 Mar 2017The specifications are decent but the battery capacity is little ................................ moreBingo. Well said. If including a bigger battery into a phone will lead to a bigger phone chassis ( wider and/ or thicker) even then its fine. Its a small price to pay for a bigger battery life nd many people wont mind an extra 1mm in width if they get a lot of battery life for it. This phone is already pretty narrow at 79 mm. Adding 1 or 1.5 mm to the width is no big deal, samsung and other 6 inch phones are i think even more than that. So sony can get away with it.
Also gorilla glass protection is compulsory. A 6 inch phone will more likely tend to slip from the hand onto the ground than say a 5.5 or 5 inch phone. So gorilla glass protection is compulsory. As it is, sony service/repair centers are rare compared to samsung. So if there is no gorilla glass protection... sony phones will more likely be damaged and less likely to be repaired (due to lesser service centers) than samsung phones.
This is a great phone. It's a nice high end phablet. The battery could of at least be a 3200mAh. Just 2700 for a Phablet sorta sucks. Especially a Sony.
Good phone overall.
Everyone's got something bad to say about Sony funny enough they still go ahead nd buy it. What's ironic is the very same people say Samsung is best but also have a bad opinion about it and end up buying Sony again. Funny enough Samsung as a lifetime phone is boring compared to owning a Sony phone because it meets every techno geek's expectation, if you a gamer u would understand me point of view. If you have a bad opinion about Sony don't buy it stick to Samsung simple but I know you will end up buying Sony once you get bored by Samsung because Sony's the best there is.
Anonymous, 29 Mar 2017Well said! That's why Xperia was underestimated, everytime.@s3mm... I totally agree with you... I couldn't have said it any better. Sony will always be on top and Samsung will always fall behind.
This video of the new Samsung S8 6.2 inches upsets me... The Sony Xperia Z Ultra 6.4 inches (2013), all Sony had to do is chip away the bezel to get to this point, add a flash, use the same snapdragon and be done with it. I had to walk through mud with T2 Ultra, C5 Ultra, XA Ultra to keep the size... Crappy mid range phones that didn't do it for me. I'm totally getting this XA1 Ultra, but still upset getting a MediaTek. They deminished the name of Ultra and now we see a 2013 in 2017. The 6 inch premium screen. So upsetting.

Should be at least 4,000ma for the size phone it is. Also, onboard memory should be at least 32GB for apps and UI.....with expandable men for pix n music! I love Sony and HTC and neither one seem to be able to pull it togethet
Sony behaving like a kid.. Todays mostly mid range mobile 📱 gives finger print lock features
But Sony trying to kill them self
Edeyotka, 25 Mar 2017Are you satisfied with 2700mah battery? Which my xa ultra last only for 5 hours max. Common Sony !!Where's that come from?
Are you even... nvmd
Poor Sony hopeless I'm using Xperia XA ultra except camera nothing is good in this device poor chipset which is not power efficient resulting in battery drain keeps lagging I used to have Xperia M before i purchased this its not 100% but 1000% better than this one.Even in this competitive market you're still lagging XA1 ultra is a flop again the device would have been great if it would have 3500mah battery, snapdragon processor and fingerprint. You are charging $300(XA1) for cheap chipset.
Mediatek though its a chinese chipset their own country smartphone makers like xiaomi Hauwei, oppo One plus etc don't use it much and they prefer to use snapdragon right from low budget say $100 but sony you being a famous smartphone maker uses mediatek processor in devices like L1,XA1,XA1 ultra. It looks like you even gonna use it in your flagships in near future.I think xperia won't exists in near future probably 2 years from now
Poor Sony if you would like to be in you'r own world don't expect xperia to get profit to your company.
It's really annoying inspite of repeated negative comments and review from users you still be in your world while making a smartphone.Sony you're digging you'r own grave
I pitty you Sony really
No idea how it's battery life would come out and sadly there is no waterproofing feature.
