Overall what ar... moreYeah I'm quite aware of the point I am making thanks. The Xperia XZ has the Snapdragon 820, which features dual 14-bit Spectra isp's, the best Qualcomm currently have got.
That's a heap of processing firepower, it's Sony's fault if they are not able to come up with hardware/software solution that best implements the benefits of its soc. Keep in mind Sony would have been aware of the 820's cabilitites far in advance of product realease, they had time to get things right, they failed, it's really that simple.
As for iOS vs Android optimisation, yes due to Apple near vertical software/hardware production ability it's likely to always hold at least some advantage.
But that is not really relevant to this point, and screen resolution is entirely irrelevant to camera/video processing.
Bottom line, if Sony didn't think the SOC was up to task of supporting their camera hardware/ software, they should have engineered a solution that was, or reconfigured their camera solution to make best use of the SOC.
Not released a product with hindered functionality.

Overall what are you trying to prove is not where do you think. Before everything you have to compare the os between iPhones and Android smartphones, the ios is liter than android especially the 7 with a miles, yet apple has the best chipset with their smartphones, best performance less battery consumption which means too less thermal issues than any android smartphones, AND.. they use HD display which is half the FHD in the Xperia smartphones except the plus series, which means the half of graphics processing.
Chipsets are the only thing which restricting sony somewhere, i believe that the not great artifacts score of xz is due to weak processing, neither software optimization nore camera sensor problem.
Trolling and hating. Bad reviews and negative comments. Don't trust them all and go for Sony. I also did it and bought Z3. And I'm very happy with my Sony. Very smooth till now. My next phone will be Sony too. And nobody can confuse me with other brands.
Tann Hauser, 30 Dec 2016A what lexie?
You are trying to much lexie... Ah, another video where the purpose is for the viewer to make their own conclusions (the person posting the video even states that to be his intention).....and going by the comments that is exactly what people are doing and it's not a consensus either way.
In short nothing is proved, yet again.
Here's a line ragarding the iPhone 7 from GSMarena's recent camera shootout featuring that device, Galaxy S7, G5.....and the Xperia XZ: "it simply has the best video stabilization in business."
And you haven't really addressed the point in question anyway Tannny, the Xperia's XZ best stabilisation features are enabled only up to 1080p30, are more of a hindering factor at anything above that, and as such do not constitute the best solution available.
Though you do not appear confident Sony can implement OIS as well as Apple has, I think they should give it a go, but then just maybe I have more confidence in Sony than you eh.......
In Thailand it's available with true move carrier for $363 (one year contract) special new year offer, planning to grab one as I've had a pleasant experience with Z2, Z3, Z5 and the X all have been superb phones.

Oh man, Sonys EIS beats any OIS in stabilisation, proven numerous times....
Your OIS loving opinion doesnt affect that fact in any way....
Hint, Dxo mark stabilisation points for Xperia cameras ;-)

Lol. You don't even know what it means, love lenovo.
ghostwriter is a person whose job it is to write material for someone else who is the named author.
Tann Hauser, 30 Dec 2016If sony added OIS to its already perfected EIS....and kept the same level of 5 axis performanc... moreYes, you are correct about Sony EIS problems. That's why Sony is slowly changing over to OIS and probably use the Sony XA ultra OIS platform. Since Sony is unable to match its EIS with Qualcomms Spapdragon CPU and the ongoing thermal heating problems. Congratulations to Sony for dumping the failed EIS and following the leaders with OIS
Tann Hauser, 30 Dec 2016If sony added OIS to its already perfected EIS....and kept the same level of 5 axis performanc... moreYour conveniently (yet unsurprisingly) overlooking the fact that Apple have already sucessfully intergrated ois & eis into video stabilisation without the usual wobble issues (or thermal for that matter).
They have also been able to do this upto and including 4k recording level.
Apparently you lack the confidence that Sony can achive similar success? That is suprising
I bought xperia xz and update to the nougat after that i experience a red light in the proximity. Area when the screen is on and 2nd doubt is ram management

But Im affraid OIS wobble effect is unavoidable so Sony doesnt want to use it. Instead doing its own EIS innovation thing.
That comes with its own price...too much strain on todays SoCs, thus thermal camera app constrictions.
