Anonymous, 16 May 2017You're right %101, f/2.0 too! What the disappointed phoneLOL
f2.0 is not good? You are brainwashed by Samsung
With f 1.7 Samsung sacrifice daytime photos and brightly lit night photos because of f1.7 hole
So S8 photo are always over-exposed and historic pink colour covers in daylight photos
All photos in S8 are obviously not NATURAL .......especially" you can see the landscape photo in natural and in S8 at the same time"
Low light photos in S8 is good but absolutely not excellent... because of its over sharpness......
Fortunately you can get aamazinglybwautifu l low light photos wwin XZ Premium because the pixels are 19% bigger and 20% brighter
Anonymous, 16 May 2017still no OIS, what the hell...You're right %101, f/2.0 too! What the disappointed phone

Now after centuries Samsung could make a camera sensor which barely can compete with last year Sony camera sensor, hooray!! Samsung used Sony camera sensors through these years because of its superior quality and the inferior of their own camera sensors, or why they were so desperate for it, accept the truth.
Anonymous, 16 May 2017Samsung's ISOCELL better? Lol what're you smoking? Never seen such a Sammy fanboy like you.
... moreYou got it reversed. Samsung use their own ISOCELL sensor in the Exynos International variants of their flagships. They use the Sony IMX sensor only in the US Snapdragon variant which has something to do with chip compatibility. The US variants of Samsung flagships get to have the inferior components - Snapdragon chip, Sony sensor and slower UFS 2.0. The international variants have all the greatest hardware - Exynos, ISOCELL and UFS 2.1.
The Snapdragon variants have the same preloaded Samsung software as the Exynos variants. The bloatware apps all come from the carriers not from Samsung.

Samsung uses their own sensors in SOME of their flagships because they maybe don't have sufficient stock of Sony's sensors. This obviously doesn't mean their sensors are better than Sony's, since EVERY top flagship uses a Sony sensor, including the Pixel (which they say has a better cam than your beloved S8) and the iPhones, therefore your argument of ISOCELL being better is invalid.
Also, Sammy uses their best ISOCELL sensors on their flagships, but not the best Sony sensors. IMX 333 used in the S8 is not Sony's best sensor.
And Sammy is well known for loading their snapdragon powered flagships with extremely unoptimized software. Why? Because they want to make their Exynos powered flagships to look better. SD820 S7 was not only slower than Exynos 8890 S7, but it was also slower than other flagships with the same SoC - Phonebuff even made a video about that, might wanna check that out.

KasKas, 15 May 2017As a Xperia fan, I think that Xperia XZ Premium will not achieve the same low light photograph... moreI have a steady hand to hold firm the Z2 to capture nice photos in low light conditions: 1/25 shutter speed with ISO800. What you say the yellowish tint is not found in low light, but it happen in dim light conditions, is all because the color temperature detect, that's why IR sensor solve this problem start from XZ, but the S8 still don't have IR sensor, they still have yellowish tint.

IPS LCD is inferior to SuperAMOLED just like how backlit LED TVs are inferior to OLED TVs. The SuperAMOLED display of the S7 was the best display of 2016 and now the S8 display is the best display among all consumer electronics.
Samsung's pressure sensitive home button is embedded beneath the display. Apple's is basically a capacitive button. Big difference. The Samsung implementation is a modern one.
