By the way, SONY Mobile PH posted that Z and ZL will launch at the same time, first week of April as previously reported, i guess this is valid for Phili, Malay and Indo, and maybe others. But no one is interested in ZL anyway so it's not big news.

You can take out the antishatter film without difficulty, i did it in my xperia P when i scratched it. It seems you will lose the logo, though (not on my XP).

is it just me or the battery xz is terrible i use it for 3h it get hot and the battery is at 6% whAT a pity is looks so nice

How about the scratch resistance in the Sony Xperia Z smartphone? I ask this 'cause in some reviews on the web I read that the glass panels on the phone are easely scratched especially the one on the back. In some comments they blame the plastic anti-shatter film of this. Is this true? One of this reasons I want this phone is because it doesn't need any kind of protection or cover (at least that's what SONY claims in one their advertisements), I'll be very thankfull for your help!

i bought this phone, its a nice phone feels good in the hand, not bulky at all weight is evenly distributed. the screen is good, although i noticed a bit of washout when u select the menu screen i had applied the standard Xperia theme.

On the battery front i have just had it for 2 days now so its kinda hard to comment on that.

although i am thinking of passing it on to my brother, i cannot use a 5inch screen phone .. its tooo big .. i was using a iphone 5 and before that SG3.. the SG3 was great until every person in my office decided to have it.

there is a big difference in size compared to iphone 5 and XZ. anyone who is used to 3.5 - 4 inches will find it lil hard to adjust this in the pocket.

hope it helps, it is a great phone no doubt ... i hope in the coming months same feature phone screen size down to a 4inch ... 5inches is too big.

hahaha makes me laugh when sum dum htc fan boys come hea an say htc has beats ,bhoomsound crap .. even my xperia 8 an w995 beats htc in music wise... pitty wit htc fans comen hea for markitng thier fone... wich is a total flop..

still waiting for htc one (please stop referring to it as one X as there's already an htc one x out there) and samsung s4 though... exciting!

Just a heads up to anyone who wants to buy this phone...

You may not know that sony covers their glass with a plastic film (it has been done for the Xperia T, and has been carried onto to the Xperia Z as well). They suggest you don't take the film off. The film gives a shatterproof property to the phone, but at the same time attracts dust due to its plastic nature, and is very easily scratched.

Without it, the glass may or may not attract more finger prints. Anyone currently holding a Z/ZL please confirm this (take a closer look). Also, the box comes with an additional screen protector, so if you put it on, it may further worsen the sensitivity of the screen... Otherwise, great phone!
