anyone know when the XZ is available in Australia? I know pre-orders are available, just wondering when they release date is.
I finally played around with the xperia z in a Sony store today, overall it looks great, nice design and light weight for its size, but maybe a little bit too big for me, almost felt like i was holding a galaxy note.
To people wanting to know if the screen or colours looks washed out... yes its true, the colours does look wash out and greyish and worst when seen from an angle. The sounds/music is not very loud either, maybe because it is waterproof.. this might bother some people and certainly bothered me, but i would still recommend people to get the XZ because of its elegant design, water/dust proof and a decent camera.
lucky, 13 Mar 2013The worst look in 5'. No grip. Not a good deal at such cost. Go for LG Nexus 4. Provides much ... moreYou must be joking. Nexus 4 has the worst camera compared to any flagships out there. Xperia Z camera is better or same as the iPhone 5 - one of the best camera performer.
This phone is having a video calling option through 3g yes or no... not through skype

I am from Mumbai...i went to a store nearby to check out XZ..Its an Amazing phone, there are ppl complaining abt TFT LCD. I compared the phone side by side to Lumia 920 which has an IPS LCD PureMotion hd + Clear black display. I played the same video on both the phones & to be honest the video on the XZ was better than Lumia 920. So plz any more complaints abt the display of XZ than plz go & cry somewhere else...peace
is it true the color of the xperia z screen wash out..?? Those who own it answer me pleased..thanks..
just got a demo sent to my store. here in the land of aus.
the screen is seriously amazing, the hdr video is rather impressive in high exposure.
but yes if you have just eaten somthing greasy you phone will look worse for it.
I am using Xperia Z for, Love the design Sony or any smart phone designer could not make any better then Xperia Z design. Screen is excellent in size and much smoother then S3, and HTC oneX, compare to most of the phone in the market Xperia Z touch response is much smoother. The only concern is battery life(if your gamer or heavy surfer) and also heat up problem, compare S3 its can be score very low, but I have no plane to change my phone as I know that Samsung could not deliver better design then this, If Sony can improve its battery life then there will no phone can beat this beauty, if I could deliver this massage to Sony’s Executive team then I will be very happy man.

Sony should make more easy to hold & delight to use phones.Miss my old xperia ray.Loved Z's looks & reliability, hated size and battery life.
the more i work with this beauty, the more i love it.
the smoothness of screen, that damn beautiful UI (one of the best i ever experienced), perfect camera (i was in a party yesterday and everyone was jealous of my Z's perfect camera), perfect audio quality and great features in Walkman (like Sense Me). and at last its SEXY design that i never get bored to look at. i have S3 and IP5 as well but this one came from another planet.
LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT.
Just been to the Sony centre at Chapel Street (Melbourne, Australia) as the phone is not released here yet... They had ONE unit in a plexi glass display under lock n' key and the back of this demo unit had two major issues. 1) a TONE of finger grease- as mentioned in the article (really an unbearable about of finger-print) 2) perhaps much more importantly: TWO HUGE scratches on that beautifully glass back-she'll. Definitely a deal breaker for me, especially the latter issue...
One of the best phones I have used till date. Sony was able to come back in the Smartphone market however may face some competition from the S4 which is rumored to be having a (4+4) processors but a quad core is a decent enough range in the super phone arena and to be honest 1080p leaves the user in awe. Camera and sound quality is superb ,having no issues with the battery life what so ever and read the reviews elsewhere and XPeria Z is running out of stock in most part where it was launched. All together its a superb phone to use a little big (but thats the reason I bought it) and also has ps certification
