The Gatsby, 18 Nov 2013And Its not about technical person, bcz a non technical person dont use net n survey on whats ... moreDude, please stop! I own the Z1, early adopter, and the phone has never lagged or hung so please stop with the conjectures and endless posts on the subject. Thanks.
Hi, I have been using this phone for almost two months and the performance is great. The music and camera are just awesome. The display is fantastic with natural colors, Infact it is very pleasing to eyes. But there are few glitches that I have come across. The speaker phone is not upto the mark. The phone gets heated up while playing games for over 40-45 min. Last but not least it hangs for some reason. (Although it happened only once and I was able to rectify it by restarting.
uhh so we're talking about reset on the Z1 here?
actually, there's a hard reset button on Z1.. just open the Micro sim cover, and look carefully there.. there's a tiny red square button you can press with the tip of a pencil to reset it
The Gatsby, 18 Nov 2013We all know that..
but we are talking about serious hanging n I have been using these mobiles... moreHardware reset or shutdown is independent of ram and cpu as well. I see you are trying to be diplomatic about this but fact is that it doesn't happen, your scenario is like a lightbulb in the ceiling is preventing the light switch on the wall to work.
I be as diplomatic as possible if there is a diplomatic way of saying "you just got busted".
Anomynous, 18 Nov 2013You kidding us. There's no need to ever pull the battery on a Samsung, just press and hold pow... moreAnd Its not about technical person, bcz a non technical person dont use net n survey on whats new invention n whats new development he just go and buy a set or see it in Stores :)
Released in Sept, but already became a "old" flagship as Sony is already preparing for Z1S
Not even IPS, but TFT? That's only for cheap phones haha!
Anomynous, 18 Nov 2013You kidding us. There's no need to ever pull the battery on a Samsung, just press and hold pow... moreWe all know that..
but we are talking about serious hanging n I have been using these mobiles for a long time so have u ever seen when ur mobile is hanged and u cant do anything even if u press power button or volume the mobile remains still hanged.. yeah it happened to me once when I was using may applications at a time my device stopped working and there was no option remaining except when the battery ends
im sure u have never faced this prob but once if u will face it then u will know what I was talking about
So im not supporting any brand , im just telling the fact
bcz the Processor n ram has a limit that it can hold, when we use more applications at a time !it sure cant handle it
so the fact is fact no offense
hk.ken, 18 Nov 2013i don't know about that sir, i've read your opinion previously. you're stating about non remov... moreHe is really lying, the reset is independent of os or software, its impossible to have such a hang without having a defective main board, its simply not how things work, if it were true then pulling battery would not work also. Power plus vol.up is a hardware function and will always work. Same as on pc, hold power button for 4 seconds will always work, it's a pure hardware feature that is 100% independent of OS/software.
You can very easily implement such a time delay in your own electronic circuits, essentially you need only a capacitor and a resistor, now tell me how a pc or phone could hang "more than that".
The Gatsby, 18 Nov 2013Yeah u have a point u can ask for sure I dont have Z1 but my friend has , I had Xperia Z befo... moreYou kidding us. There's no need to ever pull the battery on a Samsung, just press and hold power for 10 seconds. On my Xperia Z, which had never hanged, you could press and hold power and vol.up for around 4 seconds. A technical person would know this.

I dont have Z1 but my friend has , I had Xperia Z before so thats why I stated whats the prob was with it and also my friend is facing the same prob for non removable battery..bcz now I have Samsung Note 3 ,Lumia 920 and Galaxy Grand Duos n IPHONE 5S bcz Im a Technical intrested Person so I just use n change devices n survey on whats new and while on these devices if my Device hangs ,I just pull out the battery n insert again n then it works as a fresh one :) so the issue of non removable battery is really annoying when it happens to anyone at some precious time...
XPERIA S USERS, 18 Nov 2013Hold on power button and volume up Not volune down:)
The Gatsby, 18 Nov 2013Yeah but sometimes it hangs very seriously ,so even by doing that power n volume down button i... morei don't know about that sir, i've read your opinion previously. you're stating about non removable battery and what to do if it hang. you stated it was only your opinion........ may i ask if you really owned xz1 and encountered this problem hang and cannot be reset? just asking
