Tio Paeng, 08 Nov 2013That's too bad. I've been reading the forums a lot because I'm also planning on buying a Z1 f... moreThis is just the second phone I've bought from them. The first one was Xperia acro S. My first option was to buy from an Xperia store. Unfortunately my money isn't enough so I opted to buy in WidgetCity for the second time. But now I'm 100% sure the unit can't be replaced. If I may suggest to you, it's best to buy from the Xperia store. Yeah it may be way expensive compared to the OL stores but the quality and warranty of the products are guaranteed. However, I've done some screen calibration of my phone and it appears the white are really white, actually there's no yellowish tint. It's just that the resolution is just a little washed out compared to the one that I've seen on the Xperia booth.
ermond12, 07 Nov 2013In Widgetcity. It has a warranty but only a service warranty...That's too bad. I've been reading the forums a lot because I'm also planning on buying a Z1 from a local online store. There are several bad service / warranty reviews about Widget City & DBGadgets so they're not on my list.

Looking at feedbacks here in gsmarena, Sony devices are great. Never tried any Sony phones before and always went for Samsung. Probably because Samsung is more popular. Glad I went for Z1 this year, it didn't disappoint me, really looking forward to the next Sony devices. Sony's going to be my first choice from now on.
Scott, 07 Nov 2013I really love this phone so much ,so far so good no hang no lagg ! But right now having some p... morehey i had the same problem just a few days back. just hold sown your power button and the volume up button and it'll vibrate thrice and switch off then you can switch it back on the normal way and it'll be just fine this happens when the calibration of the sensor gets a little twisted nothing to worry about have fun
P4R4D0X, 07 Nov 2013Dont you guys think that AMOLED screens have over saturated colors. I mean i could be wrong ... moreI agree. I had the galaxy s2 and s3 before and prefer the Z1's screen because of the realistic colours. I always fall in love looking at photos I took in the Z1, they're so close, almost identical to the real thing!
Tio Paeng, 07 Nov 2013Where did you buy you Xperia Z1? No warranty? In Widgetcity. It has a warranty but only a service warranty...
zetreuf, 06 Nov 2013You cannot have an AMOLED screen in a waterproof phone. Even the Galaxy S4 Active doesn't have... moreDont you guys think that AMOLED screens have over saturated colors. I mean i could be wrong but owning an Xperia for a long time and comparing other devices , i have learnt that Xperia displays produce more realistic colors than other screens. AMOLED just benefits when you are using your phone in the Sun.
xperiafan2, 07 Nov 2013I know right? It's stupid, the last Sony phone I remember to have a usable flash was the Sony ... moreelectric capacitor That xenon flash uses takes to much space and there is nothing much to do about it.every company wants to make more thinner and lighter phone.Same as there are no smartphones with long lasting batterys.
my comment is about Sony phones in general. Sony phones are very good with high specs and beautiful design but the company lacks one thing and that is adverts. Samsung has made it bcos of constant adverts in the developing world so much that almost about 80 percent of smartphones in Africa is made by Samsung.my advice to sony(ericsson) is to embark on an aggressive media campaign and promotions to be able to challenge Samsung in the developing world. I love Sony so I want to see it on top not in third or fourh place.
Boks, 07 Nov 2013Are you insane?, how can you say that the HTC One have a better camera than the SXZ1? Is there... moreHTC One has a good camera but not better than the Z1. It could be better at shooting low light but overall it just cannot best the Z1. One thing I have to point out is the downside of the 4mp ultrapixel camera, cropped images look bad.
darock1982, 06 Nov 2013The phone has great battery life, & amazingly good build quality as I'd expect from Sony. ... moreAre you insane?, how can you say that the HTC One have a better camera than the SXZ1? Is there anyone here who agree with this pathetic troll?
I went to an Xperia store this afternoon as I accompanied my friend to buy an Xperia L. I checked the displayed Z1 and compared its screen to mine and BOOM! Mine really has a screen issue, the yellowish hue. It's evident in the notification toggle. I am honestly kind of disappointed especially that I cannot return this anymore to the online shop where I purchased this as it's already beyond the 3-day replacement period. -_-" but I guess I just have to make the most out of it and do some remedies like apps to tone down the screen issue. -_-"
zetreuf, 06 Nov 2013Haha I noticed that too. Maybe Samsung and Apple users are not completely happy with their dev... moreYep. I noticed that too and think you're onto something. The Samsung and Apple flagships are tired and for the price the buyers aren't happy with their phones.
victor, 16 Jul 2013SONY, with such sensor and such resolution, couldn't you come up with xenon flash?I know right? It's stupid, the last Sony phone I remember to have a usable flash was the Sony Ericsson K850i, stupid brick of a phone by to today's standards, had a 5MP camera... But it had a proper flash, why can't they put these into modern smartphones?
