If ever...this will going to be my first ever Sony Android phone. Hoping I wont get disappointed. Hi-end specd in a compact body does ring a bell for me.
I like the specs and the looks! I might covert from iOS to Android!
price please? btw which 1 is value for money among the following: Z, Z1 or Z1 Compact?
for those who have the japanese variant which is the z1f, could you please tell me the loudness of this phone? I have an xperia v (xperia A in japan) and im kinda disappointed of its speaker sound but using headset is fine. One more thing, ive heard that sony has been using 2 types of screen panel for z1f, do you think that z1 compact will be released with 2 types of screen panel too? I think its fine if the quality is the same, but in case of z1f some says that the one with JDI is much better that the one with AUO in terms of brightness. I really like this phone. :D

Not sure about the battery what you mean with "not bad", i you mean its OK but not great? The other Z1f guy here said its great and you say not bad, then i say its very promising.
Looking forward to get this, in March i think, Sony is traditionally a bit late with launches where i live.
Can someone please post the user review? Heard that the phone is already available in Japan with DoCoMo. Planning to buy this for my Nexus 5.
Specs and size are spot on for me. 1 last question though: how good is Sony with call quality? I'm leaning towards the z1 compact but if call quality is not reliable I'm considering the Moto X.

How do you find the display, with viewing angles and outdoor use?
Jon, 19 Jan 2014In France price 549 €. Crazy for a 4.3 " phone. Add 50 € and you get the great Samsung No... moreDepends on what are you looking for. For instance, I'm looking for high end pocket-friendly smart phone so this is the best choice for me. Note 3 is awesome but it's big as brick. If size is not important Z1 Compact is not a deal for you.
I have the Japanese Z1 f (compact for Japan released a month ago). It is fantastic and the battery life is great, but when I play FF6, it heats up like crazy and battery drain is fierce. Other games not at all (must be something on SquareEnix side).
Came from a GS4 which I loved, was worried the smaller screen would annoy me, but I am doing fine with it. It is running 4.2.2 in Japan which is unacceptable if you ask me, but still smooth, snappy and lag free.
Anonymous, 20 Jan 2014There has been talk about the possibility of a TD-LTE version, Sony has not confirmed any but ... moreThanks for your reply. Have to wait and see. Let's hope that IF they do a TD-LTE version ; they won't change the specs like they did for Z1.
I hope there will still be an alternative like buying a HK or international version which can work with china unicom when they have 4G released
