Please disregard the above post as I was informed by the seller of the Xperia Z Ultra that the unit was indeed Model C6833, and not C6802 as shown in the About phone. He flashed the wrong stock rom using the C6802. My bad.

To get LTE on your Z Ultra C6802, simply dial *#*#4636#*#*, tap Phone Information, scroll down to Set preferred network type, then choose LTE/GSM auto (PRL), and reboot.

To get LTE on your Z Ultra C6802, simply dial *#*#4636#*#*, tap Phone Information, scroll down to Set preferred network type, then choose LTE/GSM auto (PRL), and reboot. Magic! Your old Z Ultra C6802 now has LTE.
