Moustafa , 19 Aug 2013I'm so confused in the choice between Z Ultra and HTC One , Please Help
Hi Moustafa. follow these two links, will certainly help u decide:
ZU has better SoC (Snapdragon 800) than that of HTC One (Snapdragon 600), and from second link it appears that the Triluminos display of ZU is at par with (or even better) S-LCD3 of HTC One. Hope this helps.

Jay, 19 Aug 2013never ever get something latest and new in the market, there are hidden glitches which one nee... more1 year is a bit too much... a couple of months is all that is necessary because any glitches would have been found by then and fixed by updates too... hardware glitches are normally very few, it is mostly software that needs tuning up
great smartphone, but as far as i know it doesn't come with an lte (4g)option, so how comes it has in this review??
Althea, 18 Aug 2013Is there anyone here xperia z ultra owner who is experiencing the same as I do? My unit got so... morehey buddy thats probably .a ROM.error... i am.a software developer sometimes the this error gets due to ROM. go to sony service center and flash it with ROM
I just bought my first Sony Mobile, the Z Ultra, and I can't help but be impressed with its build quality. Display is very good. Battery is much better than I expected. If I have any complaint, it would be the feeble loudspeaker. Loud it is not. I can understand that it may have been due to its water resistant nature, still, I kind of wish that Sony could have found a space to put in 2 loudspeakers instead. Have not tried downloading a lot of apps or videos yet, as the internet connection is terrible here (Philippines) due to the rainy weather as of late. To anyone interested in this device, but are having concerns about its size, go to the stores and check it out yourself. I had no problems handling it with one hand, despite some reviews saying that one hand operation is not possible.
never ever get something latest and new in the market, there are hidden glitches which one needs to be aware off. my suggestion is to depend on some models which are atleast 1 year old. orelse, be ready to face nitty gritties with all newly launched phones.
Samsung convert here... I love my Ultra, it's an absolute Behemoth!!
Just wondering if anyone else is having issues with the pen stylus feature, and perhaps touch screen sensitivity?
Can anyone confirm if it's a software glitch that's going to be fixed or a hardware one?
Pretty darn awesome for Sony's first phablet-thing.
Waiting patiently for the Honami :) Now THAT is a flagship phone.
vipul, 18 Aug 2013I am also facing the same problem and I have changed. Four phones and this is the fifth. One. ... moreUpcomming releases won't have this issue. Your devices are covered by warranty, too. Don't panic.
The LED flash on these smartphones serve only as a torch light, mainly. Using LED Flash get worse pics than without it, cause they are too far behing REAL FLASHES, like the ones in DSLRs. Get it?
The only thing that can really improve low light pictures is HDR MODE.
Try it yourselves with your LED flash and then with HDR MODE with your current devices and you'll see.
So, the absense of a LED flash in this XZU is not that bad, get a mini torch light to attatch to your keys holder and there you have the ONLY THING the XZU is lacking.
Realize this guys. This device has no major drawback!

But with the same problem I am really fed up and the company is not admitting it.they say it is only with your set.thank god there is someone who is facing the same problem.
I just bought a Sony Xperia Z Ultra earlier for 26,000 Php (approx. $595 USD). This thing is friggin' huge! It's almost the as big as the Galaxy Tab. Viewing angles are better than the Z's and are above-average for a Sony, but at extreme angles it's still no IPS or AMOLED. Either way, I'm very happy for the price I paid for it! It's only slightly more expensive than the Galaxy Note II here and the Z Ultra is superior in every way.
