shbi, 16 Aug 2013samsung paid troller!!!! truly liar....just get out from here, nobody want a phone made from p... moreIf I'm lying, I wouldn't have written so much in such detail. There's a lot to like about the Z Ultra such as the screen size and resolution, build quality and materials, the processor speed and its IP58 certification but for me, call quality and battery life are equally important. Maybe we got the first batch which wasn't up to scratch but I would definitely buy the next generation of this phone if these areas are improved.
Anonymous, 15 Aug 2013You are sure about that, i ask that and i read no single battery usage with those phone, only ... moreI don't get the animosity from some of the commenters here. I'm merely stating my first hand experience with this phone hoping to let potential buyers make an informed decision. Like I said, I wanted to like this phone and it does have some nice features but it's not a polished product which one expects from a flagship phone.
Bigger screened Z with a camera not good enough. Fastest speed and response but UI needs to be improved. Earpiece is loud when it has clear setting. Battery lasts all day long. 8 out of 10.
Z Ultra is the best slim phone is sony but aswe know that there is no flash and paying for this as per my opinion it is not a worth but phone outlook is extrordinary and no smart phone will match this ............
Where is battery test ... blease gsmarena .. do battery test for xperia z ultra

patrick , 15 Aug 2013its a useless cell unless there will be a flash lol, suddenly a smartphone is a torchlihgt
Some things Sony must do to gain market share.
Sony is providing best hardware with great innovations like waterproofing, pencil support, Triluminos Display, etc. Still it must move fast in innovating. For example, Sony must try to make use of Sensors like Samsung. Samsung is slightly overusing them but atleast features like Smart Stay and Air Gestures must be present in Sony. I dont say to blind copy Samsung but Sony must provide it adding its own innovation or ease of use. And Sony must do it fast inventing some thing or other. For example, Sony must improve in Loudspeaker Sound, Camera, HD Secondary Camera, More internal storage, Sensors, etc.
Sony UI is great but still not as great as Samsung. It must have more customisation options like folders in app drawer, smart stay, multi screen, etc.
If Sony comes in innovating things faster than others, no one can stop Sony.
Its been 2 weeks with my zu and I love it respondes very well videos or games, it has a very nice body
patrick , 15 Aug 2013its a useless cell unless there will be a flash Yu mean its has a useless camera with out a flash because this right now is one of the most powerful phones in existence

Don't spread false lie please about the battery usage.
I bought two of these when it first came out in Hong Kong at the beginning of Aug - a white one for my wife and a black one for myself. Currently, we both use Note IIs. Having used the Z Ultra for a day, we were thoroughly disappointed with the product. Mine lasted 10 hours and my wife's 8 hours before the battery died after moderate use - making just a few phone calls, browsing the web for a short while and playing a few games. It has a smaller battery than the Note II (3050 mAh versus 3100 mAh) but powers a bigger screen and faster processor so it's to be expected but it's still disappointing that they couldn't design it to last a day. Also, the call volume is extremely low and is just bearable in quiet environments. In public places, it's extremely difficult to hold a phone conversation. Furthermore, if you use the provided earphones, you hear a lot of interference which makes the experience even worse. In addition, it was difficult to insert and remove the SIM card due to the badly designed SIM tray; when I installed Opera Classic browser, I couldn't increase the size of the fonts in the address and menu bars making typing web addresses difficult; the largest size of the system fonts is still not very big; zooming in and panning were buggy; the phone was constantly hot even in standby mode and there's less features than the Note II e.g. when holding the phone up to your ear, the display doesn't turn off. I really wanted to like the Z Ultra but the battery life and the basic feature of using a phone as a phone were deal breakers. Fortunately, I managed to get a refund on both handsets the next day after explaining these deficiencies to the store manager.
