Guys, use Xperia update checker to check where the updates are currently rolling.
And comparing moto g with zr, motor g has better viewing angles and front cam. That's it.. In all other aspects, moto g cannot stand a chance next to zr.

I was thinking that after the official Kitkat update of ZR I will just root my phone as I dont want to get into complicated issues like unlocking bootlader or flash and type of ROM coz I find it difficult. What do you say? Can you brief the simplest way to root the phone?

I am using ZR from last 3 months... I have only one problem that when the phone is used in outdoor in summer days its get heated up and the camera doesnot work.
except this I have not face any problem. Best smart phone in this budget. Never hangs. Fast processor. can play multiple games. Never switched off automatically. Nice battery backup still go on till one and half day in normal use. Camera is also good in day as well as in night also, check the settings having problem in camera bad in night. In all respect best smartphone I ever used in this budget.

> In reply to setty @ 2014-06-04 14:12 from YTEk - click to readSimply you know nothing about ZR, and do you think Moto G is giving huge battery backup?
No buddy my bro was using it. It was good phone but it too has some problems like battery backup wasn’t good, network problems and so on…. ZR was having Bluetooth issues and heating issues.

Listen buddy until now there was no phone without a problem.

and one more thing MOTO G and ZR were same in size.

Been using Sony Xperia ZR for over three months, here is my review

Bad Battery .... Drains in half a day, takes 3 hours to charge BUT i guess it has to do with the quad core processor
Remedy .... Stamina Mode and disable all GPs, Bluetotth, Wifi etc and use only when required

Camera .... Bad in indoor conditions....Software issue as "a better camera, Power Cam etc" give far better results...Same with Panaromic mode...

Bluetooth .. Just not working...In the Sony Forums, this was a common and major complaint..nothing pairs
CAN ANYONE GIVE ME A SOLUTION

Heating ... Talk beyond two minutes and your ear gets fried ... i guess as this is a water proof phone the only heat outlet is the ear piece grill
Remedy ....tilt the phone away from the ear while talking else use headphone

Wrist and Finger Damage ... We are humans and not Neandthearls...this huge size coupled with touch screen has screwed my wrist and fingers
Remedy .... Using Physicothearpy ball and using left land once in a while for touch screen

Overall after paying 24 grand (via ebay) vs 12k of Moto G gifted to wifey i'll take Moto G any day... Half the price BUT more value for money

If you are not a Gamer avoid all thease Large Screen, Quadra / Octa Core phones.... u'll end up carrying a charges
