> In reply to gitansh @ 2014-05-29 11:34 from rK8x - click to readNope its not the trend... Apple, htc only use non-removable batteries for most of the phones... In Sony there are options. For example z2 with non-removable and zl2 with removable(I guess) and sumsung, all phones have removable battery..

> In reply to Victor01 @ 2014-05-28 15:27 from 2STb - click to readFor apps to SD, you have to root the phone, but there is no direct method to root your phone(Xperia z/ZR/ZL) if you updated it to 4.3 or 4.4. You have to unlock the bootloader.
But unlocking the bootloader has a lot of disadvantages. You'll loose drm keys, Bravia, gracenote, track id, updates, etc.
So you can root your phone by downgrading it to android 4.1 or 4.2 and root it by doomslord method or vroot method and then installing a prerooted android 4.3 or 4.4 stock rom on your Xperia.
In that way, your phone would be rooted and also your bootloader would be locked :)

people who are planning to get this ZR, i would like to suggest instead go for Z1 Compact, it is better upgrade to ZR, a little small screen if compared to ZR but better colors, better processor, new update will be available, and looks it matches with Z1 and better battery and the money difference is not that much to me!!

Xperia ZR's software updates will end soon probably by the end of 2014 but it won't be outdated for the next set least 3yrs after 3yrs it'll be like the present galaxy s2
