Some notable issues are there in 1010.
1) The backlight is glowing on the sides of the tab screen
2) The charger is getting heated very quickly which is not a good sign.
3) I have come accross 6 tabs, in that 5 are having dead pixels(1/2)
4) One tab is having a issue flikering horizontal lines apprears on the screen for 2 sec before the spice logo when switching on the tab.
These issues were reported to the spice and when they tried to replace the tab, continuously on all the six tabs having issues and one i have is the six tab with flikering issue. when checked with customer care, they said it is not a issue and can be ignored.
But, there support is appreciated. I raised the issue to the area manager. Will update on the above after the response from him.

I bought this tab around 15 days ago and i faced some issues with wifi earlier.
Some times it does not connect and i need to restart.
One more issue is with the sound output.
When i play a song with full volume, the voice gets decreased when there are heavy bass in the song.
I use poweramp which is the best media player on android, but i am not able to find why this is happening. When i reduce volume to 70% then this problem does arises.
any one else faced same issue

Hi guys,

I also bought spice mi 1010 tab, I want to check with the spice users are you able to see serial number inside the tab (in the about table > status)
Because in mine it says unavailable

If u will read, browse, social networking with no video or hd games it will easily last for 6-8 hrs. But of course not on full brightness. Tab is really very bright I always put it on half brightness.

I bought it 10 days before in beginning I was facing Wifi issue as it wasn't turning on but now automatically it starts working...

Performance... just don't ask, go & take a test ride, it is available on all Spice spot, I checked every thing before buying.

Am looking for a portable (light weight) device mainly for reading pdf (EBooks). My reading shouldn't be disrupted due to power cuts.(Means even during dark time). I rarely browse. Device should be more than 7 inches, so that my eyes wont get strain or I don't have to zoom in/out my eyes like Jim Carry in movie Mask. Can this device would meet my requirement or do you have any other options (No plan to use kindle as it cannot be used where there is no light)

usually Samsung and HTC headphones don't work for spice products.
use Nokia or simple others.

I have purchased this 3 days before... its working well but some problem in battery indications and earphones. Do u guys sufferings the same?

But after three days WiFi started automatically, till now working fine. Didn't stuck after that, I reset it so many time to make it work and god knows how long will it work.
One more thing I faced with this that screen stoped rotating, so I reset it again to fix.
I'm typing this using spice stellar bad... right now every thing is working fine...

The solution is to install an app from the Play store that keeps the processor on while wifi is on so that the connection does not die. I use "REGPON wifi KeepAlive" on my LG Optimus 2x. You can try that or any similar app from the play store. Let us know if that solves the problem.

I am no expert. But I have been using it with Tata photon+ and also used my mobile as WiFi hotspot and the tab seems to be connecting to the Wi-Fi and holding the connection as well as long as I am using.

Can you specify the idle time or approx time after which the connection drops?
