disadvantages. 65k limitation, low battery capacity at 1100mah, no flash n more power consuming resistive touch screen.

I have one.. i've unlocked all entire ROM and changed the software to Touch Diamond 2 and everything works FINE!
There's only 1 problem... TD2 software shows UMTS 900-2100 but if you set AUTO (band) mode, it use a 850Mhz band without problems...

In the 5-10 minutes I spend trying this phone out at the AT&T store, I found myself more and more frustrated by the laggy and slow interface throughout. Multitasking is useless when it takes more than 5 seconds for presses and whatnot to trigger a response. Typing was a nightmare with a stylus, and auto correct was nonexistent. I would not recommend this phone unless windows mobile is a must for you.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2010-01-02 06:26 from kNe8I think you might need to download some updates from the microsoft website...Cause mine is, not to brag or anything, is as fast as my other G1 phone which is loaded with the new android 2.0...so maybe your mught be defective or something...also remember to close some apps. Going from app to app can cause that...Its just like a regular pc.

i've had this phone for 2 months, but even when i first got it, it was really slow, really laggy, and always froze! but everyone in the reviews is saying its really good so idk if its maybe the one i got was messed up or what. but is it really supposed to be like this? its always freezing, and performance is terrible. sometimes i get txts even up to 30 minutes late. its not supposed to be like this right? so what should i do? do u think at&t will let me replace it for another one or no?

> In reply to Dark @ 2009-12-26 13:50 from mEDnThere's no difference. The Touch Diamond 2 is the European or unlocked version, and the HTC Pure is the US version carried only by AT&T.

I've had my pure for about a week now...and i have to say...I love it. I don't know what the other guy mentioned about his pure crashing, his internet taking ages to load...My Pure works perfectly. Internet loads slightly faster than my friend's iphone 3G. My Pure does so much more stuff than what the iphone can. I've loaded Pharos SmartNav GPS on mine...and guess what?..i don't pay for GPS service. In Total, i've loaded about 8GB's of Applications and Games. And it works wonderful. No crashing and no freezing whatsoever. Now, if you're still deciding whether to get one or not?...i say go for it. It's worth the money. Pure vs Iphone? Pure hands down.

I was one the first customer to get a HTC PURE according to AT&T, and it has worked great since getting it two months ago. I've had previous versions of Windows Mobile; 5, 6, 6.1, and this 6.5 is the easiest version yet.
