I've had my pure for about a week now...and i have to say...I love it. I don't know what the other guy mentioned about his pure crashing, his internet taking ages to load...My Pure works perfectly. Internet loads slightly faster than my friend's iphone 3G. My Pure does so much more stuff than what the iphone can. I've loaded Pharos SmartNav GPS on mine...and guess what?..i don't pay for GPS service. In Total, i've loaded about 8GB's of Applications and Games. And it works wonderful. No crashing and no freezing whatsoever. Now, if you're still deciding whether to get one or not?...i say go for it. It's worth the money. Pure vs Iphone? Pure hands down.

I was one the first customer to get a HTC PURE according to AT&T, and it has worked great since getting it two months ago. I've had previous versions of Windows Mobile; 5, 6, 6.1, and this 6.5 is the easiest version yet.

The phone is absolutely useless; to begin with, its network capacity to get you connected with the network provider is so shite, you keep getting those messages of missed calls. Secondly, the software keep crushing and the internet takes ages to actually connect; as mentioned above, this is due to the low signal capacity.
Thirdly, the software sleeps, so when you set an appointment using the calendar, the phone is suppose to go on a silent mode, but as it fails to act, it remains in normal mode and the phone rang while I was having an interview.
Finally, again connected to its shity capacity to connect with the network provider, the video calling feature does not work at all, it just suggest that one makes a voice call.
I own this phone in the UK and the network provider is T-mobile; probably the phone is fine with other network providers. But the software sleeping issue, is not related to the network provider. So good luck.

According to HTC website his phone does not seem to support the 2100Mhz band as claimed here, rather only 850/900/1800/1900Mhz.
Is this true?

In-Call-Recorder in this phone is not provided, while this feature is very important to me. Does anyone know how to record the conversation on this phone or if any third party software works on HTC PURE?

Really?
So the fact that it has a touchscreen makes it a iPhone wannabe? wow. Let's see, IT'S NOT A IPHONE WANNABE. completely different OS, and UI. Wow. Comeon, iPhone fanboy

i think htc is still making very nice wm phone, but there's just so many other choices right now when you pick a smart phone.
2 years ago people buy HTC phone because is more compatible with windows(office outlook etc), but after 2 years other smart phone has catch up very close.
htc have to found it position in the market! either be more and more user friendly with the compatibility with windows. or just make the next mini laptop cell phone that could overkill anyother smart phone.
