Please...change the info. your posting in the said product regarding the compatible memory card. Jasjam is compatible with MICRO SD memory card NOT miniSD!!!

i am going to purchase I-Mate JASJAM for the follwing use:-
1- Entertainment
2- Using MS WORD, EXCEL Office work.
3- 2 Mega Pixel Camera
BUT I found that it has useless Keyboard despite that it has touch screen keyboard, it is heavy. it doesnt have FM Radio.
PLEASE GUIDE ME IF SOME ONE HAS EXPERIENCE IN IMATE POCKET PC, THANKS

Hi I am double-minded between the JasJam and JamIn ... I've been getting mixed reviews about them. True, JasJam has a keyboard and 3G but according to some, the battery life is not as long and the processor is not that much faster either. Which one should I go for? Any advice from someone who has used both would be great.

Great Phone compared to my Jam.
Its a little bit slower than the Jam noticable when running more than one application at the same time.
The key board is almost useless when u are used to using the stylus, and it makes it much thicker.
It has frozed many times almost at least once a day and I had to soft reset it.
WLan is great as a new addition.
3G internet web browsing is fine, but I havent used it in video calls yet.
Over all ita fine Pocket PC and I am enjoying it.

Hi All,
I've owned a number of Imates including (JAMin and PDA2k) and recently purchased the JASJAM (One week). I have the following advice for potential JASJAM buyers:
Pro's
1. Good battery life (2 full days regular use and 3 days no use - establishing battery life)
2. Great keyboard. Nice size buttons, great looking with lots of built in functionality to save the user from using the stylus while typing.
3. Love the new scroll button and ok button. Makes browsing, opening and closing files very easy and practical, also good for searching for numbers to dial.
4. Micro SD card. Although I have not yet found a supplier of 1GIG cards.
5. Single sync connector and earphone jack – again very ergonomically designed.
Cons
1. I feel this phone is still a little slow. Running a Samsung 400mhz processor, I thought Imate would have launched something faster.
2. I find when I am sent an sms, instead of receiving ONE message I receive up to 40 of the same messages.. Not sure if this is a setup problem or phone problem. (Any ideas?)
3. Delay when answering phone calls. I find when I answer a call, there is a slight delay, often I have to say hello twice.
4. Badly designed Battery cover. The cover almost feels like it will pop off any second. Previous models had better designs.
5. No FM radio. Yes I know it has virtually everything else, but hell the O2 has one..

I got the Jasjam about 10 days ago as a replacement for my K Jam.First of all because when I needed this inf I couldnt find it it works well with stereo bluetooth (SE HBH D970) and even the play/pause and rewind/forward buttons on the SE work with the Jasjam.
Overall spec wise this is a much faster device but what I notice most is that the K jam bettery lasted much longer and so far this device cant do anything (except for bluetooth stereo )that the K jam couldnt do.Even the Wifi was more stable on the K jam.

Hi all. This phone/pda is awsome. It's much faster than my previous JasJar unit and was less expensive. Though, it's still a pricey unit, I was able to purchase mine fairly inexpensivly at elite-electronix.com for $879. If anyone is looking for an upgrade to their JasJar unit, the smaller, faster JasJam is an ideal alternative.

I bought JASJAM 2days ago and it seems much better than other i-mates specially its much faster than the JAMin I used to have and I like the 3G feature in it but the problem is the keyboared you have to press some letters couple of times to appear on the screen but I still like it.

Manufacturer is HTC and it is same model as TyTN (check it out in http://www.soundtech.com.cy). You can check CORRECT spec via HTC plus PRICE.
HTC TyTN and JasJam accept MicroSD (other name TransFlash) which are used in all Samsung, Motorola and partially a fre Nokia such as 3250, 6125,6131 etc. It is one of the MOST available MMCards that one can find.
All HTC models do not have FM radio function. If FM radio is important then you need to go for O2 ATOM or ATOM EXEC.
All those models, yes, they use stylus. And, sometimes there are keyboards for TyTN/JasJam model or wireless QWERTY keyboard for O2 ATOM & ATOM EXEC.
The new generation of HTC and O2 are VERY good models in addition that they are the best PDAs in the market which are Window based. Bill Gates is coming....

I have a jasjar and would like to go for a smaller phone. Jasjam looks a great alternative for me. But just wondering in the 4 pages of users opinion I read no one mentioned a screen allignment problem heavily reported on other websites such as the xda-developers.com. This is one serious problem holding me from going for a purchase. Would love opinions on this issue if anyone has so experienced.

This is actually the HTC TyTn - overall specifications are very good especially connectivity. I like this phone - but have to agree with the guy(s) / gal(s) who have said that writing reviews based on articles and specifications is absolutely useless. Once you have the unit in your hands and you have used it for a few hours, thats the time one really understands the issues. SO, specifications wise its terrific - remains to be seen if it is up to hype. its expensive.

I lend my voice to support someone in this forum who wondered how people could start to write about performance for a device that has not even been launched.
I have had 2 i-mate devices - the sp5m and the JasJar, and I would caution that people don't rush into buying new i-mate devices. The JasJar only became reasonably ok after 2 ROM upgrades. Even then, the red characters on the dark brown keys are very hard to see. Because of this I do not consider the JasJar a great device and I only use it occasionally. For the sp5m, after only a few weeks of use, the screen suddenly developed a smear - even though I never dropped the unit nor treated it roughly. Overall, there remain quality and usability issues with these i-mate devices.
