Okay, maybe I'm over reacting by calling my experience a night mare, but it was a crappy phone. I used it for 2 years . . . well I can't say that I really used it, more like I kept it on a plan and bought a 2nd cellular phone to help get me through those 2 long years. The problems included an unstable platform as well as poor hardware design. Just in case you think that it might be the games and software that I might have downloaded from an unknown source, I didn't. I had no other software inside this smart phone besides what came stock with the LG IQ. The phone crashed once every 2-3 days on average and quite honestly most of the time I wasn't even touching it when it happened. I'd wake up in the morning to check my Emails and would find that it would have shut itself completely off once every week or so, and it was on a charger at the time because I always charge my phones at night. Other times I'd be using it and the screen would freeze . . . sometimes it would get itself going after 30 seconds or so and other times it wouldn't. The processor is a 1 gigahertz clock speed gadget, but realistically it seemed to run at about 50mhz. There was a lot of lag between the keystrokes on various tasks such as Email and checking the calendar and exiting various apps that were built in to the smartphone itself. The hardware issues were mainly to do with the fact that the keys on the exterior of the unit were all in spots where you'd constantly be accidentally pushing them as you recieved or made a call or even just held the thing. On a positive note the battery life was fine and the camera was good and the keyboard never broke down. THe company (LG) or (Windows) that built the firmware never did offer an upgrade to pick out the tonnes of little glitches that plagued this unit, which there are too many to mention in a post that spans this length, so after 6 months I bought a cheapie cell phone to use along side this unit in order to guarrantee communications would be reliable and I used the LQ IQ just to do the other jobs like keeping track of my client service histories on the notepad feature. I'm not a heavy data user so I canned the data plan after a year as well because surfing on this particular gadget was terribly slow and impracticle even when using a variety of hotspots on WiFi. I never really thought that so many things could go wrong and that a reputable company would push out a product before they had completed their R&D work, but this phone is an example of such a thing. Also just a note, last month Windows announced the closing of their app. store due to a lack of interest, there wasn't anything interesting there anyhow unless of course you desperately need a tip calculator. Besides that, they were charging too much for the app design platform for anybody who wanted to build one, Windows mobile is really under the same controlling management that has run Windows since the dawn of their existance and control-issues has always been a big thing with them, they just can't imagine open source concepts and the risk of not squeezing every possible dime from their end users. Anyhow the fingerprint scanner that was used on this unit has a problem which probably plagues print scanners in general and that is that your finger must be in the same state when you scan it to memory as it is when you want to scan it to get through the security feature that locks the LG IQ. This isn't always possible since a dirty or damp or sweaty or dry finger can change it's properties and you are locked out of your smart phone until you can dry your finger off in order to make it all work, though it was nice that they had designed the scanner to except two seperate figures just in case one got cut off :)

1st of all there is no secondary camera, just one but it works very well. The reason for my review is to complain so the kindness will stop now. This piece of junk really should not have an average rating of 7.9 in any catagory. For design it was really stupid to put buttons all around the parimeter of the camera because there is an overwhelming potential to hit a button when the phone is just picked up. The screen is not scratch resistant and mine has been damaged from rubbing against another plastic abject for a few minutes. The flicking potential of the screen is embarassingly feeble and does not compare to the iphone or most smart phones for that matter. The keyboard was just a bad idea, why did I think that a nice sized screen with a slide out keyboard was better than a Blackberry styled unit with the small screen layed above the keyboard? Sliders are not really meant to be used one handedly, here's a simple test . . . just try and type out a little text and send it with this phone. Apart from having to use a couple extra keystrokes to get the text sent, you will find that you just can't drive down the road and reply to any text easily. Yea that's right, I've been bad but with this phone it boarders on stupidity to even attempt that stunt, I could probably have sex at highway speeds easier than texting with this piece of junk on the road. So it has a whopping 1 gigahertz processor, it might sound impressive but quite honestly the speed doesn't seem to translate into real world differences with this smart phone, it still stalls and I am waiting for what appears to be no good reason with this gadget throughout many of it's regular functions. Win mobile 6.5 was probably shoved into this phone and sold all in the same day because it was not clearly tested to remove some really obvious glitches. This thing does lock up about once every 2 days for me and sometimes it looses the sound or the ability to find the micro sd card or just simply reboots itself. It is nice that I am able to reboot it though without ever having lost data, that I am thankful for! I hate the fact that I am married to this thing for 3 years, I never knew what kind of a device it was when I first met it, there was no first date. Only a quick introduction and a few carefully skimmed websites and reviews, but the inner workings of this gadget were not really known until I started using it. So all I can say is be careful what you are getting yourself into because it could be for a full term like I'm in for. I've had this phone for about 9 months and I've sent it back once only to find out that the replacement worked the same way as the first phone.

great specifications. the projector attaches to the rear. you may need to buy the projector as an extra. streaming youtube vids is fast, fast as i8910 but the i8910 is better quality vid. but if you have projector you have unique feature. good idea is flash with custom ROM from XDA Developers. rare handset, only 1 available on eBay from bona-fide_phones.

Question guys:

I know the fingerprint reader acts as a 4 way D pad but does the center work as a ENTER key? Can you press that while in camera mode to take a pic?

thanks- trying to decide between this and a refurb omnia.
