All they are doing is - just adding touch to the old thing. They are not willing to put efforts to give something out of the box. Its just the usual thing.

I appreciate the work of HTC (their Touch HD, Diamond); samsung (their upcoming Omnia with OLED capacitive screen). They are trying to get the most perfect balance. But Nokia seems to be sleeping right now.

I wonder when is Nokia gonna strike the perfect balance. You see - the features that 5800 offers are cool, but Nokia has ignored the Aesthetics (look at the plastic build, no metal finish) and also there is no reason why Nokia should believe that we would settle in for such a sluty user interface (give regard to HTC TouchFLO 3D, & the TouchWiz from Samsung)

Its kinda sad that nokia doesn't seem to respect capacitive touch screen technology. One can say its coz 5800 costs less. But Nokia continues the same technology with N97. Strange!

A capacitive screen is beautifully smooth to operate because it just requires the presence of your finger, not any pressure. Agreed that it cant be used with a stylus and with gloves on, but the multitouch functionality offers a richer user interface experience.

Resistive touchscreens are cheaper to make, but don’t support multi-touch. You need to press down as you operate a resistive touchscreen. If the user presses with more than one finger the device can’t determine the position of the multiple fingers.

These days LG (with their new PRADA), Samsung (with their Omnia hd, beat dj Samsung M7600) and HTC (with their HTC's T-Mobile G1) seem to be getting the trick. Yeh, & offcourse cant forget to mention the father of all - you know it..

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-03-08 10:23 from npPb - click to readwell I live in Cyprus, I talk turkish all the time and I am fond of using my phone in English, so I simply use it English, meanwhile I use the typing language Turkish, so I don't think it'll be a problem, all you got to do is to change the phones language to english.

Now I'm dissapointed with the build quality and some applications performance. Starting with earpiece contact problem, but that was easy fix. The crap/gap in the casing, between the screen cover and volume buttons. The bottom left part of the screen disconnected from the frame and now make creak sounds on touch in that corner of screen. Now the LCD quality: first I got stuck pixel that look like green dot in bottom of screen, now after it seem gone, a vertical line appeared that crossing whole screen and changes color and visibility depending on displayed colors nearby. Now the UI: web pages load very slow and often crash/lock. Like www.howstuffworks.com. When editing textfields like the one used to write comment, I cant got back and type between text or select it. It jump back to the last character. In music player when deleting last song from the category, like the directory with artist name stays empty and trying to delete it return error. I also forgot another hardware related flaw: something got inside the camera module and display some dirt on taken pictures. Or maybe the camera broken. It also stutter when recording video. Occaitionly stuck and continue after sec without interrupting sound. And yes its recording, not playback. It stutter when watching on pc aswel. So shortly Im f*ked up with this junk. Especially the screen problem pissing me off. The reason I bought it after all and not n85 or n79 is the screen to warch videos, and its so flawed.
