The original Philips Genie has been available since 1997. It is the "Genie 2000" or Genie reloaded if you will that arrived in 1999.

Also you are missing one of its biggest feature : Voice recognition.

I had this phone convinced my girlfriend at the time to convert from Nokia.The phone awesome and well before its time..That was in 1999 now its 2011 and i have a Droid..

This is a great phone. I still use it every day. I use to have a Iphone, but thats nothing when ur compare it to this phone!!

I buy one of this today with 5lei(1euro) and it's very nice.It's a miracle that he's still working.

My very first mobilephone!! Never had any problems with it!! Got it on contract in year 1999!! It was the first splashproof sport phone!! Wish they made it again, would defernatly buy it!!

yeah..this is my very first phone. i had it at 2001, and i broke her antenna at 2002,hehe,,because philips are very rare here (indonesia), so i was proud when i got it!

I have this phone before ...the size and weight really amazing when launch at that time ....that phone really recall lots of memory but i remmeber i sell it at last ... :(

This phone have signal, where no other phone could even imagine! I have had it, but it has been destroyed when i step on it!

This phone is very good, is light, small, and it has one organizer however the quality of plastics is week...
I desagree the network sensibility is excelent!!!!!!!!

Worst phone ever. Weak signal, low quality plastic, shity sound, quite heavy if you have a bigger battery. I own it now for 2 years only because lack of money.
