In my opinion(and I am typing this comment on a Blackberry), the whole market for cell phones has changed. The manufacturers that produce qwerty and touch screen phones at the cheapest price will gain the biggest market share.
That is what Samsung I think is trying to do here. That is why Sony and Motorola will eventually close down. They only cater for qwerty and touch screen phones on the high end of the market.

> In reply to ss @ 2009-10-09 09:24 from iiWi - click to readSorry but I have a doubt for the price you gave. TXT is $108 at the launch. No i200 in my country but given the price you said about TXT, I should have my doubt too. Probably that $150 you said is the price now right? Wait for a year or two then TXT will be around $60. The best launch price for a Windows device I've seen in my country is $250+, usually much more than that.

> In reply to ss @ 2009-10-08 08:10 from iiWi - click to readNot really. Smartphone doesn't cost the same to make as feature phone. Samsung has made millions of both Symbian and Windows phone and you can have a look at the cheapest they can offer, more than twice the price of this phone. Smartphones need right processor power, battery capacity, memory, storage and all kind of other hardwares plus licence to the OS... That's how you've never seen a $100 Windows phone and you probably will never be.

Qwerty in this phone is useful only for texting, it is actually good for only those who like to do lot of texting. But a qwerty keyboard should not be limited to only texting, it should be used for gaming, it makes gaming in mobile phones easier and various purpose like for e-mail etc. But unfortunately this phone lacks support for gaming as it has only Java.
It would have been better if it had a Symbian or a Windows OS.

> In reply to Eagle @ 2009-09-25 09:37 from Pxxd - click to readTrue, but for the price just over $100 for a QWERTY keyboard equipped phone, it should be expected. Beside, there are quite a lot of great phones with with 128x160 resolution on 2.0 inches screen (roughly equal to 144x176 on 2.2 inches), for example Samsung E250, and they are selling like hot cakes, this phone should do great too.

Does it really have only 176x144 display ? For a 2.2 inch screen this is a very very low resolution, small fonts and pictures will be seen very poor in that phone.
