Which is better overall the Satio or OmniaII? I can't decide which to buy. Hope you guys can help me out. By the way I noticed that the PDF Acrobat reader and Office of the Satio are just trial versions. Is there a way to get a full version without added charge? Thanks guys.

> In reply to inspector @ 2009-11-21 07:01 from ibcZWhen a person talks a bout a high END SE, we need to keep in mind the amount of money they(SE) are charging for these devices. these forums are only useful to those who want to see the collective opinion. E.G. I really wanted to but the C905 but when i heard the horror stories on this website and others i decided against it. Love they say is blind. No matter how much you love a brand, you will never be able to keep the hard facts away. This company SE always had and will continue to have a poor second hand market value, because no one is able to sell their unit and get the price they want. Compare that with Nokia, its just the opposite. If you want to sell your phone you will find a buyer. This is a Hard fact that points at not only the brand equity of Nokia but also its build quality. If a company wants to sell phones people will only buy them if they are not lemons.

Good phone. Lots of software available as it symbian s60v5( good move by sony).
Gr8 looks, display, camera.
os works smooth n fast.

simpler stylus, better battery( to utilize full potential of 12M camera) and more internal memory(as other phones hav more) would make it unbeatable for yrs to come.

3. Micro USB and 3.5 mm jack vs. Fastport
4. 1500 mAh Li-Ion vs 1000 mAh Li-Po
5. Magnometer (Digital Compass) vs. N/A
6. FM Transmitter vs. N/A
7. Stereo Speakers vs. Mono
Satio over N97
1. 12 MP "State of Art" camera vs. outdated 5 MP
2. Face and smile detection, touch focus vs. N/A
3. Xenon+LED vs. Dual LED
4. ARM Cortex-A8 600 MHz vs. ARM 11 434 MHz
5. PowerVR SGX graphics vs. N/A
6. 256 MB RAM vs. 128 MB RAM
7. OpenGL 2.0 vs. OpenGL 1.1
8. 126 gr vs. 150 gr
9. 13 mm vs. 15.9 mm (It's somewhat for the QWERTY)

11. HSDPA 7.2 MB vs. HSDPA 3.6 MB

Note: I hate Nokia not for its phnoes. The reason is somehow political.

Satio is great. Read a lot of software, tech and battery problem. To those that are planning to get Satio, I personally do not encounter any of the problems mentioned. Battery life is good - It lasted for 4 days with usage on phone calls, messaging and occasional media functions. Of coz, if there is connection of wifi or bluetooth, battery usage will be shorter. As for software and tech, there is no lagging, screen froze, auto restart etc. Slight lagging when I switched from screens or application. It is very minimum though. And i strongly believed that happens to other mobile phone brands as I have used nokia, samsung and iphone.

Read a few of the comments below and I couldn't believe some of it.

1) My satio comes with a 1 year warranty
2) Battery life lasted 4 days with moderate usage. Note I keep tinkering with the phone and played media.

If some dealers don't have the satio available it's probably because it's sold out? The SE website itself says "Possible limited market availability"

Background :
First time Sony Ericsson user. Nokia user for 12 years (changing phones every year). Been using my Satio for approximately 6 days now. I also carry an iphone and the new Treo.

Report : SIMPLY WONDERFUL.

It's a joy using the satio. It's very simple to use. Both the hardware and software shortcuts make navigating a breeze. I say this in comparison to the Treo. There are so many additional functionalities that you don't find on a Nokia phone. Especially love the mark all feature, file sorting, highlight, and multiple keyboard options.

In comparison to the iphone, I still choose the satio because of the enhanced features and I prefer the overall format, interface flexibility, camera, built-in speakers, and the overall look.

To get the full experience, you have to calibrate the resistive screen. When calibrating, make sure you don't tap too hard.

The available programs are top notch. Particularly appreciate the media players.

Ocasionally, you may experience a bit of time when switching screens. Take note i say a BIT. It's really, not a deal breaker. One blink and you're okay.

WONDERFUL phone. I'm a convert to SE and I have a feeling I'm never going back.
