> In reply to Rai @ 2009-08-29 22:13 from jJeGWhen you buy a phone that is unlocked, it means you can use the phone with any carrier in the world that works with the phones frequencies. So the answer is yes it should work with that specific network carrier. Do remember that all unlocked phones are not garaunteed to provide all the proper functioning with a every carrier because some network carriers require that you have specific software installed. But from what I have seen so far, unlocked phones such as the g1 work fine on any carrier and software requirements (for the network carrier) are easy to find on the net.

If I buy this phone unlock, will it work if I put a CINGULAR sim card in it? I mean since it's a quadband phone I'm think it should work, but it's still a T-mobile phone so I'm not sure. Can someone anwser this please.

> In reply to Shayan @ 2009-08-28 12:54 from 0ywRShayan download Video Player, convert your movies to MPEG4 (resolution at max 480 * 320) and watch movies :)

Buy BlueX as said before in the Market for 2 dollars.
There is also an camera app you can buy for 1 dollar, perhaps you can zoom in with that. Though it ruins the quality.

Don't know how you can get the cupcake update :p

Hi Everyone. l just received a Locked G1 from the US and was wondering if anyone could recommend a reliable site that could unlock the phone for me. The multi media side of the phone is great. Music player is SWEET if used with a good headset. l'm using a skullcandy and it's just fantastic. Display and touchscreen response are also wonderful.Camera is good under bright conditions. Battery is on the weak side. No where near my old but very reliable E61i. Over all l think it's a nice phone.

> In reply to Shayan @ 2009-08-26 08:52 from 0ywRHi Shayan,

G1 does now support video recording, to get a video player for your g1, you need to look in the andriod market from the menu. You can also record videos on the g1 after its had a system update. Please speak to your service provider for the system update

i've been using the G1 for 3 months and i'll say its a better version of the iphone. though both lacks bluetooth transfer option, the slide out QWERTY keyboard makes the G1a better option to the iphone
