I find this phone wonderful as an oldie trying to learn to use android.
However, the ringtones and message alert tines are much to quiet, cannot hear them. What can I do?

I just bought this htc dream and I can't find where you put the SD card slot I look everywhere and I can't find it . To use the camera and video , it tells me to put a SD card . Can someone tell me where it is please. Thanks..

g1 model is not so good,no battery backup,no superior touch and no new apps for this phone to download,,,,its big mistake to buy this phone.

Technically your phone is up to date because there is nothing more to update. Most apps require at least eclair or froyo to run btw.

I'm finding it difficut to download some application on my phone(being this particular phone) expecially Whatsapp application. It's askin me to update the phone each time i tried downloading and the phone itself always replied me that phone is up to date. Again, the battery runds down easily. please, what do u think i can do? Thanks

the G1 is not capable of playing mp4 and avi files,no file manager,no access to sim operations,camera is not enticing, application running should be more than six,no radio, internal memory is too small and also does not support all android applications

cant connect to gprs it does not have the option for choosing (use mobile data on) i already entered the apn but it still doees not connect

i bought g1 mobile on may 12 , some problem on inbuilt display strip has been damaged and newer switch on.kindly tell me ur helpline to buy this spare in chennai (india)

I addvice you to download the Amon_RA Recovery image, not the one used in the above guide. and you can find the link for Amon_RA Recovery from here: http://www.addictivetips.com/m...tc-dream-g1/
and also you can follow the steps mentioned in the link to install 2.2 froyo. you can find the links for it from above link and also GAPPS link.
