This phone is absolutely rubbish! The amount of times its crashed on me or dropped 3g signal in area where it's most prominent, really takes the biscuit. The acceleorometer broke within a week of purchase even though I handled it with care. The software is really buggy and 'stutters' a lot on all applications which is quite clearly shown. The gps function stopped working and doesn't even show my location anymore. It sometimes is really slow at responding to touch and shuts it self off frequently even after the 1.5 update and numerous resets. Nothing works on this stupid phone.
The only okay thing about the phone is android, maybe but it isn't all its cracked up to be. I guess the next gen will be better but after the experience I've had with this android handset, I'm going for something different next time.

William, if you look under your settings and then your memory it should be above 20megs otherwise your phone doesn't have enough space to operate. OPen up your browser, press menu, and then press more and finally settings. Clear your cache, history, and hten your cookie data.

This phone is great! I'm using it to type this now. The browser is superb though not the best of its kind since there is no multitouch for its zooming, but din affect me much. The key board is great no problem using it at all. The android market is good but there are stil more program can be developed. Overall experience is smooth. This is definitely a high standard product with an affordable price.

My phone is great, however, its very slow when I log on. By the time my phone finally logs on, I lose interest. I can't down load from the market place, asked for help and no one can't figure it out. I did everything they have asked from to do and nothing worked. What do you recommend? Pictures sucks, video sucks, this g1 phone needs a major up grade. I'm considering switching over to Iphone. I'm sorry, this phone looks cool, however, very slow like a dial up, very slow.

1. To those that are locked out of their phones call customer care, 1800-937-8997.
2.The phone is better than the I-Phone substantially, just go to cnet.com and watch the battle. Plus the internet service with text is 50 through at&t and its 35 with T-Mobile.
3.If your battery life is terrible its because you bought the phone from an inexperienced rep. Never charge the phone over night or continually charge it when its full. It drains the battery life. Either manage your battery better or buy a wall/car charger. The dual charger has a smart chip in it that prevents over charging.
4.I dont recomend getting it in white because that color tends to be the only one that chips.
5.T-Mobile is sending out the cupcake version 1.5 software in sequences depending on IMEI numbers, you'll just have to wait.
6.You can do microsoft applications for a one time download fee of 19.99 (QuikOffice App)
7. and lastly, please update your phone and download AHome Lite. Its better and smoother plus you can add RSS to the home screen and other media. Most importantly you can add as many screens as you want so your not stuck with 3. and give spoofapp a peek

> In reply to Abba ZAria @ 2009-06-23 14:03 from mJZeHey Abba,
Make sure you have a proper GPRS or Edge connection on your connection and also create a Google account on GMail. Once you are done, hit the menu button when it asks you for the Google Account, and select the APN settings option. Find out your APN settings from your carrier, enter them, and enter your Google account credentials. You should be good to go after that! Remember to use this process everytime you factory rest your phone. Irritating, I know :(

> In reply to Abba ZAria @ 2009-06-23 14:03 from mJZeYou will need a Tmobile sim card with G1 data plan on it. put it the sim card then create an Gmail account. after creating Gmail account. you can take that sim out and put any other tmobile in to use. Gudluck!
