hey..i was wonderin if i should get the g1 or the g705...which do u prefer???
i mostly want a phone for entertainment....
I have had the set for than 3 weeks now. As far as the phone performance is concerned its simply outstanding. The browsing experience is amazing especially on 3G or wifi. The screen is very responsive to your finger movement. It does not hang because of the hardware it has.m Battery life is poor but than there are ways to conserve it. Do not use the 3G and gps when they aren't required.
However I would recommend google to work on the following:
1) Improve on the SD card functionality as you can not install softwares on it.
2) Frequent Software updates should be made.
as a carphone warehouse employee we have had some feed back from our customers stipulating that a) the phones not what it seems and that the battery life is not lasting 406 hours as put on the specifications on here!
how long dose the batt last on standby? The one i got don't last a day..
i bought it from www.cells4u.com
Does Anyone know how many text messages can it Store Up to. Thanks.....tomadil@yahoo.com
skc, 19 Dec 2008hi PCK but where u bought that for so less amounti don kno where he got it for 79.95$ but i saw that same price tagged in the review of G1 in our newspaper too.
The android phones has the potential to run away with the smart phone market. If Google and the Alliance realize that it is a mobile computer not a phone and provide capabilities to use peripheal devices such as keyboard, printer, monitors of PC size.
Iphone has this potential built in because of its proprietary 14 pin connect. G1's firmware and WiFi inhibit the connection of peripheal. Wake up Google!
PCK, 17 Dec 2008Many thanks, but I got it for only $79.95 hi PCK but where u bought that for so less amount
Its a pretty good phone, not because the exterior (i dont like that plastic feel, it seems like its going to pieces the next second) but because of the os itselt. although its still in early development (version 1.0) it has big potential. there is a lot of software available on the android market and sure there will be far more. however the biggest con is the battery. and for me is very important. using wireless or gprs/edge not constantly (we dont have 3g in albania) the phone goes from full to 10% in less then an hour. u cant use a phone and then try to find a fixed place where to charge the battery.thats nonsense.i think there will be far better phones next year using android, so for anyone who wants to get one, i think he should wait
eugene, 12 Dec 2008come to tmobile D&B wireless in serremonte shopping center were giving it for 149.99 with a 2 ... moreMany thanks, but I got it for only $79.95
i think the g1 is very cool but i hate that you have to have internet to set up the google account when you first get it
level_head, 12 Dec 2008well the X1 has a lot of very pretty eye candy with it's touch panels. But underneath all that... morewell thx that really helps, but if you look at winmo 6.1 it runs quite smoothly just like htc touch diamond. well let's just take a look at the development of the android os.
thx for the input
just to let everyone know make sure you turn off your blue tooth when you dont use it on this phone because the battery will die very quick k guys have fun wit the fones
come to tmobile D&B wireless in serremonte shopping center were giving it for 149.99 with a 2 year contract come check it out ask for eugene we will hook you up ;)
I've got a choice between a g1 and a samsung pixon...which do i take, i love them both but for different reasons!!!
SElover2112, 11 Dec 2008guys i'm in a bit of a pickle which one do you think is the better worth of money.
the G1 o... morewell the X1 has a lot of very pretty eye candy with it's touch panels. But underneath all that is the Windows Mobile OS which is also used in all the other touchscreen phones like the Samsung Omnia and the HTC Touch phones. You must realize that WinMo was never designed for touchscreen interface, unlike the iPhone's OS. The Android is exactly that - designed for touchscreen is why it runs smoothly.
So take your pick...personally I would go for the G1 but not just yet. I would wait until it is fully developed and a lot of apps have been made for it. If you can't wait then go for the X1...whatever rocks your boat
nick, 10 Dec 2008what do you all think of android, honestly? is it really as good as the hype suggested?I think the Android OS has a very great potential because, just like the iPhone OS developed by Apple, the Android was specifically engineered for the touchscreen interface and unlike the iPhone, it's an open source system so it will surely evolve as the years go by. I think it's the most exciting thing to come out since the iPhone...
