If your GPS is on, or your sync is set up to be automatic, or your screen is very bright, your battery will need frequent recharge. I stay on the phone surfing the web, chatting, emailing and calling and stuff probably 6 hours a day and I need to recharge mine every evening.

You can go to Maps and use My Location. It works very good. Close to pin point accuracy. It's pretty cool, but it will kill the battery down.

hey guys i just wana share my thoughts on dis phone.

the best way to describe this phone is that it can do a lot more then iphone!

it dosent look as cool as iphone but who cares because this phone has really good applications.

i just love it!!

i phone is like a dumb blonde ! looks good n dats it

I received my phone on the 20th and I've playing with it ever since. My only problem is the battery power. I've sent and received three text messages in the matter of an hour and the power went from 100% to 86%. I would like to know if anybody else is having the same problem I am because if this is a flaw with the phone, I'll be switching back to a Blackberry.

Im glad this ugly phone with its overhyped JAVA/Linux OS is out cause people will realise how much better Symbian S60 is

When will these be available in Australia does anyone know?

Very stylish looking phone, very smooth and a new OS! Very eager to get my greasy mitts on one of these!

Only question would be this: Will it run on the Next G Network (UMTS 850)?

I have had my G1 3 days< I am having one annoying issue with the alarm feature. It seems that the alarm is not audible when the phone is being charged.
T mobil says that they THINK?? that this is how the phone was made. Alarm is on the screen but not audiable. When I unplug the phone and reset alarm it works fine the alarm is audible, This is annoying since you do have to charge the battery each night!
I believe the phone thinks that the ear buds are plugged in.
