Anonymous, 10 Sep 2010Why it's only 800 Mhz. Why not 1Ghz. Why is a Pentium4 @ 3.8GHz slower than a Core2Duo @ 2,8GHz ??
Shouldn't this phone be HSPA+ 21mbps down?
should be cheaper than contemporaries.
The main feature of this phone is the GPU! Adreno 205 is much much faster than those found in today's Snapdragon based phones.

Hey
How about yall do some research before ya start downing this thing for 800Mhz. Some one got ahold of benchmarks and its scoring as high if not higher then the 1GHz hummingbird in the Galaxy S
For rhose who are idiots and don't have internet and brains to find out which cpu is newer better and power efficiant. This processor is smaller and better perfomanc of first generation (QSD8250™ and QSD8650™) here is the proof .

Why it's only 800 Mhz. Why not 1Ghz.
this phone just got the award for worst keyboard layout ever... nice specs... horrible keyboard layout
Does this G2 can tether with laptop...? if it can must be great for the internet speed...
Why are there no arrow keys on the keyboard? Hope one doesn't have to move ones hand over the trackpad thingy to move the cursor. And why no radio either? Anyway, HTC Desire HD is next on our shopping list. :)
Most of us at T-Mobile are just glad to see another quality htc smart phone on the shelves. Between the Vibrant, G2, and MyTouch Slide, T-Mobile customers finally have a decent selection of relatively advanced Android smartphones. I wouldn't count out the G2 because of the 800mhz processor, because the advanced modem and HSPA+ will make this the fastest web browsing phone on the market.
Anonymous, 09 Sep 2010need.. uh.. super amoled @_@@Anonymous the screen of the G2 is super TFT not super AMOLED
For me the phone factor is the best qwerty smartphone out their but the specs. of the G2 is only 800mHz while the other smartphones out their is 1ghz. it is better for G2 to get 1ghz snapdragon processor than 800mhz and the battery is also a problem with 1300mAh it is easy to drain, the more the speed of processor the more the battery capacity is needed. it is better for G2 to get battery of 2100mAh if it has 1ghz processor but if is not better to have 1500mAh cause it is the standard battery for the smartphones out their that's all.
I would agree everyone is moving towards snapdragon why would t-mobile scale back to 800 mhz and did not applied a camera in the front with 5 megapix along with a camera on the back 8 megapix android 2.2 or better.
that's just beautiful
why is every1 saying FAIL CHIP, only 800 mhz?! lol"
u should know that this is a 2nd gen chip, its is faster thn those 1+ ghz and it saves battery.
need.. uh.. super amoled @_@
Excellent internet access
800 mhz processor? are you kidding? They are about to release phones with 1.3mhz processors for cr@p's sake!!! And a Li-Ion 1300 mAh... you'll be lucky if that lasts more than 6 to 8 hours before a full charge! Pathetic!
It will be a big heat again through d world, htc rock again..
