Great phone. Got mine from london, cost a bit (about $400) but worth every cent, much smaller and thinner than an iphone but with all the features. All in all very very happy, and i tend to change my phones every month, i have had this for 3 months! Says it all really. Did i say that i love the looks? Get lots of compliments from everyone who sees it, especially as they cant get one~!:)

Just got this from germany, nothing comes close. I change my phones every few months but this is a keeper. I liek the touch flo screen. The quality of the screen is extremely good, music vids are much better than the older HTC phones. I could not wait for it to come to the US either LOL.

Hi to all, i`ve received MDA comp IV and for sure i can say this is the best phone i have. I`m changing phones often may be 2-3 in one year. This MDA from T-Mob is so different then HTC touch Diamond. My friend bye HTC T.Diamond and i compare this 2 phones. MDA has more futures (couples) and better display as well. T-mob take care of all weakness of HTC. May be i can complain just for battery life, 900 mAh and low sound ringing (but this is business phone), but i`m using outlook, touch flo and speaking about 2 hours per day. Also i`m using GPS as well. So 1 day and battery is not empty. Great phone, great future. I install tomtom newest version and put a map of west and eastern europe. GPS work perfectly. Thank you for your attention. I purchase this phone from T-mob in Macedonia.

> In reply to fonedude @ 2009-01-04 09:38 from j5WS - click to readit won't matter as t-mobile's us 3g uses different frequencies than the us diamond. the us diamond is thicker and heavier than both this and the euro/asia diamond. and you can flash a different radio to make this quad band.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-03-01 21:31 from na{n - click to readyou can just flash regular diamond roms over the t-mobile rom and make any changes as you would on a regular diamond. check out xda developers for roms/flashing info. (probably too complex for newbs though)

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-03-01 21:31 from na{n - click to readI've just checked my phone and can answer a couple of your questions.

You can put your own photo as the wallpaper but if you have the clock showing as big then it'll cover half of the photo but you can change this by scrolling upwards and a smaller clock so you can see the rest of the photo.

You can also have a ringtone for a different contact, providing they are saved to your phone and not to your SIM.

Hope that helps a little.

Is this tmobile mda version much different from the original htc diamond?
I heard you can't edit the homescreen?
Is it possible to put a photo of choice as background?

And another question.. can you give different contacts their own ringtone, so u know whos calling when u hear the ringtone?

Thanks!

I have received my MDA Compact IV today and so far I'm quite impressed.

I have a question though, by default it seems as though I do not have the standard pink and white t-mobile theme? At the moment it's just a basic green windows theme. Does anyone know how I can get the pink & white t-mobile theme up? From the pictures on my user manual, it looks as though that interface is much more user friendly than the one I currently have.

T-Mobile are unable to help me and have told me to phone HTC but they are not open now until the morning.

Any ideas?

Also, I've accepted a song through bluetooth which I wanted as my ringtone but once I received the file, I can't seem to find where it has been saved?!

Again when is the phone coming out? I have been waiting on T-Mobile to launch some really great phones, just seems like Tmo takes too long.......I'm getting really tired.

Won't work in the U.S.
2G Network GSM 900/1800/1900,
3G Network HSDPA 900/2100
Just get the HTC Diamond U.S. model. Same phone with the right freqs.
