Hello friends.. To al those who feel this phone is slow can make it extremely fast by rooting.. U ll get sufficient information from "Unlocker.com nd XDA Developers" on how to root.. Nd once its rooted u ll start loving it.. Its just a mind blowing phone.. I love my Mytouch.. :)

The phone does get slow. But there's a way to make it run faster and it is called rooting it. And getting linux swap on it.

Currently I am still using this phone but I recently flashed the SuperCSDIv4 rom which greatly increases the speed of the phone.

Sadly this phone does not run fast on 2.2 which has great features like multitouch (which barely runs in a browser) runs great on 1.5 (cupcake) or even 1.6 (Donut)

For those saying the phone is slow,un install the apps you don't need and the phone will do wonders...keep regular updates of the apps on market

Seriously, There are so many negative comments about this phone. So it took me almost 7hours reading user opinions and expert reviews before i bought this phone. This phone is generally a good phone. Lots of people
complain about it being slow. I havent experienced that. Dont install too many apps which you wil barely use. Install only relevant apps that you will use regularly.The phone shd work just fine. The battery runs down very fast.But you can stop this. Disable. 1.Background information.2Gps.3Sync 4.Use 2g networks. This phone is the best. I will urge anyone who wants a good smartphone to get this....Dont mind those fools...who dont know how to handle a phone

I think there are thousands of us that went through the software upgrade to Android 2.2 and now the phone is pretty much useless. I'm not sure if it is a T-Mobile, HTC or Google problem but I think after 12 or so years with T-Mobile its time to jump ship.

worked fine for about a year, but now it wont charge right. after a whole night of charging the battery is gone in litterally twenty minutes. It is also much slower now, and almost all of my apps foreclose. the camera is EXTREMELY slow. The andriod market is terrible on it. Every time I go to download something or update one of my apps the phone freezes and then shuts off. Im hoping I can contact t mobile and recieve a new one because it barely stays charged.

GARBAGE PHONE. it first it works ok, than what do you know force close almost all the time. when i look at my call log and try to call someone back force close. i try to dial a number force close. sometimes when i try to type texts no text appears. i wiped it out before and nothing. i gave up on this garbage! i cant wait for my contract to be done so i can either switch phone companies or get a new phone. i will NEVER waste my money on a tmobile brand phone again. GARBAGE!

OMG!! I knew it wasn't just my phone! This stupid piece of crap of a phone makes me want to go back to the good old, basic phone. I HATE that I have to wait 5 minutes from the time I press the call button, to actually make a call! What if it was an emergency? So many errors, force close or wait, force close or wait! Ugh! I too am on my 2nd MyTouch 3G. Sent the first one back, thinking it was a dud...but what'ya know, the 2nd is just as bad, if not worse. I hate this phone.

Does anyone know if it has an actual compass like the hd2 and nexus and evos that can be also used as a metal detector ?

this fone is good, i have been using simbian,windows os but android rocks, i love its apps.

I'm getting close to renewal so I will get the new mytouch 4g but I will miss my mytouch 3g. It's been a good, solid performing phone
