My review would surely work for the users living in India. I bought this brand new cellphone as a gift for my Wife's birthday from ebay.in on 17th Oct-12 and the product was delivered on 22nd Oct-12. The phone came box packed, sealed and with 1 year Warranty by the importer & distributor.
Now in India this phone is being imported and marketed by Airtyme Communications and hence the mobile is being known as "Airtyme PV-300 Flaunt". I bought this phone at a throw away price of INR. 2149 (USD 40.00 approx)only with all the accessories and original Sharp soft protective sleeve!!! This phone was launched in India by Airtyme in May-June 2011 and hence the import date on the box reads June 2011. The product is manufactured by Sharp in 2010 in Japan as mentioned on the box.
Consider this; It's one of the best looking, well designed, best screen resolution, best build quality and amazing features packed 3G phone available in anything below INR. 5000 tag. I personally liked the Microsoft owned Danger OS of this phoned. Messaging and maintaining Address Book is one of the best I have seen in any other phone in this range and it feels almost like using MS Outlook. Other features like Calender, Tasks and To-Do lists are one of the best and quite user friendly. The instant messenger connects quickly and works awesome. It carries a feel and looks of MSN messenger app. Navigation and Trackball works perfectly fine. For people who are regular users of smart phones of Nokia & Samsung; the navigation and user interface of Sidekick LX 2009 can feel a little bit tough to browse but believe me within 3-4 days of regular usage and after going through the detailed online manual it will be a piece of cake and fun.
As per me the few cons in this phone are:
1) U can not upgrade the OS as services related to the same had been withdrawn by Microsoft last year,
2) No applications or Games can be downloaded,
3) Internet Browsing can only be done via Opera Mini 5.0 which not up-gradable.
4) Even if camera is of 3.15 MP the picture quality is only satisfactory. Flash works fine with still picture but the same can not be used while making the video. For best results I would suggest to use the camera in day time for making the videos.
Also, as the phone has been manufactured in 2010 the battery will tends to worn out sooner if regular net surfing is being done. Usually after 2-3 hours of continuous net surfing or chatting on this phone the battery worn out almost completely and needs a recharge.
Other than the above mentioned points, I was unable to find any other flaws. Overall, I am highly pleased with the robust OS, inbuilt applications, looks, feel & touch, style statement, high resolution LCD and swivel screen.
I would recommend this phone to all those who are looking to upgrade their existing phones to a good looking and robust 3G Smart Phone. This is one of the best and exciting phones I have seen in recent times and my wife is highly pleased with her brand new smartphone. :-)

can anyone tell me why my phone will work for a little while and the goes to "EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY" mode. I have returned the phone to the dealer twice and it happens each time. Phone is unlocked. Please help as I really like this phone and I don't really want to return it for the 3rd time.
