I think the design is very original. I like to see it swivels the screen. But unfortunately, this phone doesn't exist in Indonesia. There's no any such this swivel screen types like this phone here in Indonesa. I'll keep on waiting for sidekick come to Indonesia..

hey guys! I'm a teenager and I want this phone since like forever, but I'm worried it won't work in my country.. I live like in the middle of nowhere - my country is Slovenia.. If you somehow know if it works in my country please let me know.. I really don't have the time to read all the opinions - 'cause you might answered the question before.. So my question is: Are all of the data on the phone lost if you take out the batery? I heard that the older phones lost data when taking the batery out, so I'm not sure if it's the same with this sidekick.. Please, please answer me.. greetings from Slovenia to everyone ;)

OK, this will answer many questions those of you have.
firstly i have this phone and as i was impressed with having it and showing off, long term it is not worth having. Here are my reasons:
1. Once unlocked you can use it pretty much anywhere with any SIM, however that does not mean you have unlocked the network functions on it. They will not work, period.
2. Once unlocked the phone will constantly try and connect to a data service to enable internet functionality. It will keep disconnecting and reconnecting, therefore whoever has not got an internet package will be charged for the constant connections (PAYG users beware).
3. After having this phone for a few months the internal memory played up a couple of times and DELETED ALL MY CONTACTS AND MESSAGES. Very annoyed with that as it has happened a couple of days ago.
3. As you can send and receive texts, you cannot get MMS (picture messages) or set up the service for it. you will be bombarded with the same MMS because it is trying to get to you, so you will have to delete it.
Having said all of that, you will be literally shelling out money for a phone that can only make and receive calls and texts, THAT IS IT. Would probably work perfectly if you live in its native USA, but forget trying to use the best features anywhere else. It does have some good features with like ring tones and p3 playback and an average quality camera, but expect no more from this phone, seriously. I am putting mine up on eBay.

Ok I got myself a 2nd hand unlocked sidekick LX 09. The phone has decent display and has minimum lag when scrolling or selecting apps. The thing is I live in singapore and since I unlocked the phone for us ein singapore I dont get to use the GPRS function as my telco sub cant figure out how to install it. The battery life is short as the phone keep trying to register itself on-line via GPRS which i mentioned ealier not able to use. I have so far found no way to off that function. So far very pleased with the phone
