My $200 iphone would blow this $12,000 P.O.S. out of the water as far as performance. I mean, if you are planned on breaking apart your phone when it dies to sell the "gems," I'm sure you could get at least $800-900 back for it. What a joke.

You people are crazy. These phones cost a bomb just because they're made from precious metals and gems. Meanwhile the technology inside them is basic, cheap and utterly pathetic. It's not a phone it's a piece of jewellery. And you're all going on about looking for replicas - so in other words, you want rubbish phones that don't even contain the precious materials of the originals? Unreal.

if this phone costs 20k dollars.
from that price i think 19k dollars for decoration and th material used diamons and platinum.
vertu uses the same platinum to make their phones the one nasa is using to prepare their space settles.
and it is fire proof,water proof,scratch proof.
if you throw this phone from the 7 story high building it will not brake or even there will be no scratch on it........that all cost thousand dollars....

There's a number for vertu users exclusively where you call the operator and can book anything from restaurant reservations to plane tickets anywhere in the world, wherever you are. The screens are made from a special material that will not scratch or crack, and some of these vertus are actual made from gold / silver, etc for status. Well, it's kinda a rich man's toy.
