Im just wondering if this phone is for the rich and famous then how come half of the people in hollywood and others carry around sidekicks and rave about them? Sidekicks are even shown in the movies being used by the rich characters in them. I think these phones are used more by just the rich with no sense and just buy something coz they can rather than the rich and famous who can buy what ever they want but want something that has a whole lot more than just looks. And why does this get such high ratings? I mean a 7 for features and performence. Its doesn't have any features to perform. this showa why you should never go by the rating systems in this site.

I see that many people doesn't realize that this phone is made for one simple reason: so people with money to spend a lot on another toy that can make them feel even better. It is not a question here of functionality... it is just "hello" and that it. They don't care if ordinary people knows or not about this phone... they care about it people of their rank notices his/her phone. Of course, there are some exceptions.
I personally have enough money to afford this phone but i don't because i need technology, otherwise i would purchase one of these.

Very excellent appearance, quite poor performance.
Great for those who want to show off.

its made beautifully but what is the point of buying a phone that doesn't perform end-of-the-line? Vertu's a phone's for those who like to show-off or can actually afford expensive not-to-good phones. alot of ppl on this blog seem pretentious. just get a goddamn blackberry or Nokia. and get over the fact you can't afford this phone. sorry guys, but go get a phone in your budget.

This phone is not about memory or camera this phone is about face I'm tolking about you who never had have this cell phone!I don't have it I even never had chance to hold it in my hands but I know that peaople who have this cell phone At least earn 2-3 milions $ in theres pocket.

i think its is a bit crazy for whoever who bought vertu's phone. im saying this even though im selling this high end brand. only RICH buy this. haas. but somehow, for the rich, they might think the price is worth. each of the vertu's handset is exceptional. and its is BUILT BY HAND in england.the bearings are made of highly durable ruby and casing is made of sapphire crystal,finestleather,innovative materials like liquidmetals(which is twice as hard as stainless steel). it also have excellent acoustic. specially tuned for high-fidelity performance,deeper bass respond.most importantly, 18 carat gold and platinum used to encase its precious handset are cerified by SWISS ASSAY OFFICE.
it have a custom-built workshop at england and hand bulit by expert.
anyone who wish to see the phone can go to paragon orchard.
its a good brand.

ummm..... hav one of these, and hav to admit, it sucks big time in functionality. cant use it in a proper business trip. and abt status symbol...well, i hav never made it a friend in my hard-earned life. ppl out there take my advice - functionality in all respect is second to none.

Stainless steel, gold -- how is one exceptionally well-to-do individual to decide? Now one doesn't have to, all thanks to Vertu's Mixed Metal edition of the Constellation. While lacking the 3G data of its Ascent Ti cousin, the Constellation at least has the common decency to rock four bands of GSM reception plus EDGE data, giving users at least a fleeting hope of exploiting the phone's customized version of S40 to its fullest. Then again, virtually anyone within Vertu's target demo couldn't care less about the radio or the operating system; in this rarified air, it's all about the preciousness of the metals, and this particular version of the Constellation seems to deliver by mixing in gold accents (real gold, naturally) with the stainless steel theme. i have all the Vertus available in the market!
They're jus' status symbols, so guys don't insult them! they're jus' not made for features.
But,I? I care about both, features and class. So i have a whole bunch of Vertus and a Nokia N95 8GB, Apple iPhone and a Samsung G800!
This way, you can select any two cell phones: one from the features category and the other from the class category, and there you go! you have a PERFECT cellphone!

the whole point of this phone is to look stylish and one of a kind to a select group of people, so wats the point in sayin the features are crap? maybe so but the point of this phone is style and made of top quality resources, wtf are you on about crisp and mud sculptures for aswell lol

Wow, what a crappy phone, I can't believe people even want buy one of these. I understand that perhaps they do because of it's looks and because they may feel it is necessary to be pretentious. But i genuinely believe that i could make something better looking than this by picking up crisp packets and mud from a dumpster and ramming them together.
Having said this, apparently this phone is made for showing off, which is ironic because no-one would recognise it and the wealth it symbolises. So basically, you might as well spend $5000 on my crisp packet and mud sculpture.
Wealth would be better symbolised by a phone like the N82; well recognised as an expensive, good quality phone with all the right connotations. A much better showing off tool.
