I really don't understand why these Vertus cost so much. What if one happens to lose it? It really wouldn't matter to that person since he/she has to be rich. But i would never give it up if i found one !!

to the last Vertu used ..how the hell do you know that no one really used a vertu...oh my god come outta shell yo....its just an expensive piece of show off ..with some solid hardware attached to it...nothing else....and it suits the poser like VERTU-USER to do a bit of show off thats alll

you know...i think its funny that all these people are commenting about a phone that they have neither seen or used in person. I have a vertu signature s model and I can tell you the build quality is excellent. apart from being a quite a looker its an extremely sturdy phone. Although I have to be honest aside from the aforementioned pros, the phone itself cannot possibly justify the price I paid for it. I know a lot of Vertu owners will try to criticize me so they can rationalize their purchase, but there is no way an outdated symbian operating system can justify the 11000 price tag....regardless of materials. and by the way, the screen is not all that scratch proof. to be honest, i have no buyers remorse because of the money i spent on the phone, but from a free market view, this phone's utility does not really equalize with the price tag.

Only the exterior looks like one. But this "Bugatti" has a 385 kbps 3G engine instead while my current Nokia has a 10 Mbps 3G. If I go further by your metaphor it is a VW Polo inside but an old Lotus Eclat outside (yeah the design is not that impressive and even dull outside too).
The only remarkable point about this phone is its price tag. So if you're both rich and only use the the call and hangup buttons this phone is just for you. Not only a tech geek would like to be seen while using this phone in public :)

It is just like other phones assembled in a factory. but then added some manual work on finishing. The SMT assembly inside makes it impossible to assembly any component on it manually so only the finishing is hand made. The price is very very expensive. Just to let people know that you have an expensive phone but 3G only 385 kbps just like 3 year old cheap phones :) C'mon .
