if it just says virgin then u cant change that if the logo is there try changing your background if it doesnt work and really annoys you return it for a new one.
p.s m-99.com and speedydelivery were not advertising i was wondering about the m dont be so paranoid stewart

don't touch speedydelivery.co.uk or m-99.co.uk with a barge pole. The posts below are both from the same company and are just the company advertising. Search google for m-99.co.uk and you will soon find some very negative feedback on this 'trader'.
They will not have any vk4000 specific hardware as vk have not shipped any as they went bust. It doesn't exist. You have been warned.
I got a vk car charger that was designed for a vk570 from ebay for a couple of quid. It works no problem. I tried the same with a data cable, but that doesn't work.

i bought this phone 2 days ago, its great i have had no trobles with it, the camera has great graphics, holds quite alot of stuff, i think that having memory slot is a great idea, i cant wait to find out what else this great phone does. x

got this phone yesterday and find it greatso far!the only problem i am having is with the mp3 player...If anyone could advice me on how to get songs onto the phone , do you need a dongle?i am not 100% sure ,a specific one if so? anyway thanks alot in advance!! enjoy VKing!! x

the easy way to find how much the phone is charged is to turn it off and then charge it that way it sais how much its charged

Just got a car charger from www.speedydelivery.co.uk - delivered next day, it work very well and was under £4! They appear to have a good range of VK4000 add-ons - so worth a look.

Just got a VK4000 and in the main I am very impressed with the design and lots of features for the price. However, I am bit worried about the battery life and it appears to be tricky to find a car charger at the moment - maybe due the bankupt news. Has anyone else noticed the very short battery life, or is it just my VK4000?

if u go 2 mobymemory.com you can buy a 1gb microsd for ur vk + a usb memory card reader for £27 which is VERY good so you plug the reader into ur pc and put music etc. onto it that way then put the sd in ur phone

which link cable do you have to buy for the vk4000? i've been on the link site and found 3 hwich may be suitble but the vk4000 is not on the list of compatible phones i assume this is because the vk4000 is not a very well known phone. anyway please tell me the exact name of the link cable maybe even send me a link to the site please.

VK Data Cable - I emailed VK Mobile about this and have now recieved the following reply from the VK Mobile UK customer service center:
"We are having problems getting our orders shipped from Korea ( where the cables are made ). I have not been given an estimated date of arrival . As soon as the parts are recieved they will be forwarded to Virgin Mobile for sale."

overall a brilliant phone. BUT.... no sound on the video recorder, and you can only record for 20 seconds, and the only vids you can play are the ones that you make plus this phone cant be unlocked to any network, as far as i know anyway :( And i bought a 512mb micro SD card for it and am using my card reader to put songs onto the phone, i cant seem to find a retailer that can get hol of the pc cable for me. Any suggestions. So im using my card reader to transfer to my memory card and ive had to use a bluetooth dongle using the "object push service" to transfer files to the actual phone. Basically i love this phone, it looks smart and performs well too. I say 10/10 for design, 8/10 for features and 9/10 for performance. Overall 9/10.

VK Mobile have filed for bankruptcy (on july 7th, 2006) - see this link:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VK_Mobile
Chances of getting a data cable for the vk4000 - probably nil :-(
If I had known, I wouldn't have bought the phone. I'm not best pleased with virgin mobile for selling the phones of a company that is going bust. At least it was cheap.
