I love this phone, very good battery life with stock rom. 3days with wifi.
The screen quality is very bad but if you need a small and cheap android phone this is your phone.

If you are an expert user it will be easy for you to upgrade, but it will take some efforts to do it for the regular user.
Please search for “Unofficial CyanogenMod 7.1” and download; sorry I can’t give the link according to the gsmarena regulations.

I was just asking as this phone has an ARM v11 processor similar to the sony ericson Xperia mini can it install apps such as real player Beta or Player Pro ? Thank you in advance

Note: you had to enable the USB mode on the phone first.

Hello All,

I just got this phone yesterday night, so this is my first impressions on it, and I will try to write another full review after few days,
This is my first Android phone; I had to use iPhone for the last 4 years and BB torch 9800 until last night,
I really fed-up of the BB battery after I had a Horrible Time with this BB.
Any way finally I got this small jenny “Vodafone 858 Smart”, so this is my first impressions.
1. It is really small light smart phone so if you get bored from the heavy bulky and big smart phones, you got the right decision.
2. If you are angry about the restrictions, domination and regularly feed of Apple or BB you got the right decision when getting Android phone.
3. I got the phone with customized Vodafone version of Android 2.2, but I had upgraded it to the 2.3.7 Gingerbread and it works perfect and even with better performance.
4. The battery life so far is really good, especially compared to the BB.” I will give a final evaluation after 3 or 5 days”.
5. I had downloaded many programs from the App store all of them forking fine.
6. The telephone build is nice no cracking sounds while holding it, looks nice, it came with 3 back cover with 3 colors.
7. The only thing annoying me is the keyboard, if you are a heavy “texter” and using the keyboard so much you will find it difficult for you, but It is because of the small screen.

Final words, it is not a business phone like BB and it is not full of fun like iPhone, but I will rate it as 5 stars of five, it is a good entry point to the Android world, it is perfect for regular users they are looking for a very good smart phone with very good reasonable price, that will serve the fun, games, social networks, and regular use.

The phone is good with the price and the things that can be done but there are couple of things tat is not good .
The battery is not good it cant even stand for 3 hours when using web browsing messenger or other things even with only phone standby and normal talking the battery hold only about 6 hours
No call timer, data counter sms counter I install form market
no area messages
Difficult to see the delivery reports
But with some other problem this is a good phone if battery life was good then a superb android phone for very less price

how do you send songs on this phone...it annoys me because anytime i want to send songs on it it doesnt work...so if u know the answer post it up..thanks
