This is an iphone-for-all model but with low price so this is worth buying model.

This phone is not launched yet..but what i could say is this: Alcatel's phones are so cheap that you would not have much to loose when buying it. even if you don't like it, it would serve as a second phone perfectly..

The reason for the design difference is that the normal mainstream Alcatel models are done by the regular team at Alcatel and as such are working seperately from the team that is specialized in the TCL and Alcatel smartphones, hence the designation "S" to seperate it from the rest.

but don't you guys think that the OT-S988W's design is not "Alcatellish" enough? It's looks like a Phillips..

Actually no they can't because the platform is no longer being produced, not as S853 anyway.

The S988w, is currently being launched in China and market introduction in Europe is being evaluated based on unit performance and satisfaction.

my goosh..the OT-S988W looks cool..but i think it's unlikely to be launched outside of china :( . What i really like to see is a replacement for the legendary OT-S853..it's still one of the best sounding and unique phones around. They could just update the firmware and resale it again..as the phone is still listed in their website

this phone should be priced at about 80-100$, which is extremely cheap for a full touch screen phone with multimedia capabilities.

If you want a 3g smartphone with all sorts of high tech toys have a look at the Alcatel OT-S988w ;).

There's no 3G, 5 MP camera etc. But who cares, if it's this cheap (it's gonna be cheap), I'm gonna geddit!
