I am using Cellphones since 2001. I have used N95, E71, Nokia 5800, Xperia etc. I got Blackberry 7290 black color from my friend. It was pin packed. I got it unlocked from market. And wow its excellent. The screen is excellent, its the best screen in sunlight. The voice quality is outstanding. Battery life is also very nice. The build quality is super, rock solid. The functions are so many, you can edit, customize almost anything. Keypad is for text lovers. I love this phone, but still I hate Blackberry brand. Pease dont compare this phone with N97 or Iphone.

Hello,
i just got a blackberry 7290{GPRS}and i have been trying to use the Bluetooth device to get pictures,music and videos but each time i pair with another Bluetooth enable device it ends up with no device found and sending failed.please,i need your help.i dont know what could possibly be wrong.Thanks for your cooperation.

3,the set will now scan, for the available net work.
4,when the available net works ,are shown, then press the escape button.
5,Ensure ,the wireless icon on the page is set on, and you will be able to make calls.

Composition of SMS.
1, scroll to messages, press the wheel tracker
2,in put the phone number to which you want to message
3,scrll to SMS
4,Phone number is displayed
5,click the phone number,
6,continue is displayed, click again
7,a fresh page is displayed, then type your message, click again to send the message.

This is a GREAT little tank of a phone. Just DON'T do like me and put it in your back pocket and SIT on it for 2 hours. It survived MY dropping, kicking, and being knocked about. But after all of that PLUS being sat on, on a construction site..... When I saw what I had done I LITERALLY sat with tears... ALL my data ( backed up), but this was my 1st BB. STILL can't bear to throw it away, although it can't be fixed. ( I know, silly, right ). This is a capable little box. Enjoy....

How can i activate the bluetooth on my black berry phone 7290 because i have been trying to send some music to it from another phone via bluetooth unsucessfully. How can i configure the phone to accept music via bluetooth?

The browser icon is not showing on my 7290 so I cant browse. I tried looing for hidden icons but it still doesnt show up. What do i do

i have bb7290 too.my problem is i can receive call and text but i dont know how to send sms...cant find where to check that..this one was a gift from my sis in the US.....
