Download Skyfire browser from android market. Try the Skyfire video player on free trial. Buy it if it works (it does!).
This makes the Optimus worth the hassle, and certain more 'advanced' phones can't play video like this, but don't expect miracles - streaming and the likes of iplayer is imposible.

This is a real bonus to the maligned Optimus - some more developed phones can't handle Skyfire video, such as the HTC Wildfire S.
* However, you cannot stream BBC i player on the GT540 or watch live football, its simply not up to it...

i can not see some video on phone, which required flash player and it is not support on this phone.please help me out,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I've had this phone for about a year and I can honestly say it's the worse phone I have ever had. I don't want to be a fussy duck but it is just awful.

The touch screen has a mind of its own - texting is impossible even though the on screen buttons appear big and I have tiny mouse thumbs.

It freezes all the time - often if someone calls me the screen freezes, and I am unable to answer the call. Sometimes I think I've answered and I put the phone to my ear and it carries on ringing. This frightens me and makes me a very sad panda.

Sometimes my friends text me and it doesnt receive any of the messages. I spent days thinking that everyone hated me, I was a very lonely woodlouse.

In my opinion, this phone has tried to do too much but the operating system is too small to take it. It is a freezy no texty nightmare.

And sometimes, as I'm drifting off at night it calls me names like 'fatty doormouse.'

Phone is capable of Runing Android 2.3.7, I know it, because i installed it on my LG GT540, some custom version of Cyanogen MOD7, adapted for this phone, and it works really smooth :)

I like this phone coz its handy and has various features,you can download 1000 of applications frm android market,touch screen vry good,3G Browsing vry excellent.worth for the price

I have this phone, and I am ok with it. Yes it has a low RAM and slow CPU, but otherwise it is ok, it is a mid class phone. It is ok for its price, u can use your navigation perfectly, u can use skype and etc. I like it for its options. U can always buy much expensive phones.

Not as good as it looks and now very dated.Low RAM and little storage space for apps on internal memory only. Resistive screen problems worsened until unuseable.
However, flash playback possible with Skyfire video player.

I hated this phone. not only is the use of it useless but it is also slow at processing. It was a big let down for me as every LG I used prior to this one was great. basically the bottom right button which is where you normally hang up or go to home screen lock the phone, which is really frustrating. When using the phone to send a message the key pad is a pain pressing 8 ends up making a space and pressing 7 activates shift. Any command for example to open contacts it's takes 5 or more seconds to open section. I had never thrown a phone on the floor before this was a first. Worst Phone I have ever owned. very frustrating. Might suit old person who does not need speedy response is good as has Google apps etc but that is it.

A fancy piece of crap,all the information is in Dutch.customer service is not help,not way I can find how to change to English,I don,t speak dutch.
