TD-SCDMA is probally its main selling feature with video calling. Will work in america but no 3G = dealbreaker. Since its only for china it may cost a bit to import.

> In reply to james @ 2009-06-13 14:57 from i49GI have a Chinese-made Motorola, it survived 3 years, took 3000 photos, still working. Show me better or shut up. It will bury and outlive the next three phones you buy. This one is nice except it works only in China :-(

This phone is 3G or not?
In this photo http://www.gsmarena.com/motoro...res-2830.php looks that the girl is performing a video call to the guy. The phone specifications is incorrect or this photo is fake?
3G or not?

Motorola handsets are china made, honestly they are not durable. If you compare these handsets with chinese hansets you dont find much difference.

Simple yet attractive. It is just for communication and SMS. Lots of people in the world they use phone only for these basic needs. Less functions = more reliability. Moto is totally different kind of manufacturer and they will servive.

No doubt Motorola will go bankrupt soon. Nokia is offering a phone with 3G, memory card slot and 320x240 for less than $100 unlocked! This phone is simply enough not worth it, even if it was 2007. Maybe it'd be acceptable in 2005, maybe. But since it will have a similar price to the Nokia, it's no doubt which cheap phone will be the better choise.

> In reply to gide @ 2009-06-13 04:02 from PEApWhy you you dont like touch sesitive keypads ?
IMO, touch sensitive keypads are much better that clasic mechanic keypads. There is no annoying sounds when you press the butons (like some mechanics kepads), no dust between keys, no mechanic parts that can broke after heavy usage, no more keys with deleteed letters ...
