If you SSID is not broadcast, u still can manually key it in the cell. In his case, he is able to get connected to the router but fail to get access to the internet. When it comes to network connection, its about trail-&-error.

i had something similar until I published the SSID on my network (it was hidden and i could not access internet).

amazing phone. Slim, fast. ICS coming soon. Battery life can be short when using a lot of internet stuff (Weather, live wallpaper sync with weather, twitter, facebook, email push, etc) but matched with the Motorola Smart Action, its way better. Overh...
