I also own motorolla W231 and the reason I bought it is just for calls and when it advertised that it has crystal talk, I readily picked it amongst my choices. I did not expect much with this phone it has only basic features. May be I was just mimimalist when I bought one. But know I am getting bored of it.

There are something you migth need to know like:
- the phone only supports up to 2gb, beyond that would be impossible for the phone to read on.
- any micro-SD is fine. You can also buy from established brands like Kinston, PQI, Transcend to be safe. Personally, I have a 2gb Kingston.

Well guys, i had this phone after my cdma nokia got stolen. In a rush to have a mobile phone so i bought w231 as the price is affordable that day. I bought this phone 5 months ago and i can tell u a lot of things about w231.
1st of all the keypad is totally awful, it's almost impossible to get the right text without looking at the screen (after 5 months i couldn't get used to it)
2nd the sound clarity is very good, the pure sound beat the mighty N73, i could say that after my friend and I played the same song at the same time. N73 got blur at the max volume, when is mine still very good.
3rd web browsing not very functionally, it's affected with the limited screen size and resolution.
4th jack audio 3.5 mm and microUSB port very useful, and that's one of the reason i choose this handset.
5th the price is very cheap according to it's performance, quick reading memory card even at the max limit, battery life quiet longer then i thought so, the endurance of this handset is unquestionable ( i dropped it three times and my nephew dropped it about 5-6 times and still works perfectly)
So guys, if u have very limited budget i suggest u buy this phone. No regret that's what i feel.
And now on i'm going to switch to LG KF510 coz' this phone couldn't satisfied me more than i wanted to ^^.
