I've had my W231 for a month now and I'm happy with battery life and sound quality for both speakers and earphones. What I'm not too happy about is that the USB to PC connection does not work. I find it inconvenient to remove the micro SD card every time when I want to add songs or wallpapers to my memory. I've installed the USB driver but all it does is allow me to charge the phone, data transfer is still unsupported. I also am not able to use the GPRS/WAP browser despite downloading the ones sent by my subscriber. What gives?

U must connected to the phone by headphones for Radio. There u will find the recorder in the options, nowhere else.

can you guys help me cuz i don't find the recorder cuz we need evidence we'll use my phone for it... i really need it.. hope guys you can find it for me ^_^.. tnx in advance!!

This phone does not support downloading Apps/games via GPRS. I've tried it several times but on all downloadable contents it says "unsupported content type".

help... it doesn't play to another song automatically.
i downloaded mp3 files. once i play a song, it finishes and once it does, the next song doesn't go after. is it really like this? isn't there anyway to configure this setup? i have to like skip the songs once they finish! help me out please.. i'm begging you... ( i guess i'm just pretty lazy myself )

If you don't like this phone don't buy it all of my phone is motorola many features hiding this phone >_< hackzone.xpulse.net the no.1 hack mobile community

Pa english2x pa kayo kala ko may mga hacker d2 e isa wala. I can browse free without load using this phone it last two days battery life i think ur battery from china.

How can you sure it doesn't support java midp using w231 i download 900 games plus opera,teashark,ucweb,qeep,googlemaps and online games like tibiame i think you guys using w230

good phone,except that the battery sucks big time,it takes long to get full charge,but then it only takes 1day to drain it.very easy to use though,and have practical features,althoug i dont think i would go to the extentof buying memory card for it,if i use the mp3 feature of this phone it wont even take an hour for its battery to get low,so its only good for texting and calling.

Hi,

Solutions and Answers:-

1. Charge ur phone straightly for 5 hrs and let it drain each time and then charge it normally for 2 hrs at third time. Ur battery life will be increased and long last.

2. No, it doesn't support any Java applivations.

3. To format Memory card, Go to Phone Menu, then Settings, then Intial Set Up, then scroll down there will be one option of Format Additional Storage Device and press Yes for Format. (Note it will delete ur data if u have any data in it but not card drivers, so dont worry, just take back up before formatting ur memory card if u want, if its empty then no need. Just format simply. If u dont see any Format Additional Storage Device option in Intial Set Up then reinsert ur memory card).

Is the battery life good for this phone? 'Cause I have a W230 and the battery life for that phone sucks big time, it lasts only a day.

to upload music to your micro sd, you must first format the BLANK micro using your w230/w231. if you don't format your micro sd using your phone, the phone won't recognize your card. if you have music installed in your card before formatting, your phone can't read it. if you format it with music already installed, all your music will be erased and you are back to square one. so, format first before loading your music. hope this helps.
