> In reply to Ruben @ 2010-03-18 18:44 from ttvc - click to readDear Ruben,
Though I haven't tried it, I think it will support... (The headset coming with N97 or Nokia 5630 Xpress Mesic should work with this handset too...)
However I can't confirm this as I haven't really tried it.. Anyone who've tried it, please tell us whether it's compatible or not...

Can anyone tell me if i can change the ear phone contained in the nokia 5530 box (in pack) with the one having the next, previous, etc. function. Because the box contains simple ear phone and i want to change it. I love music so it is a must have facility for me. Will it be compatiable.

Connect your mobile to the computer through the Data cable and use Nokia OVI application installer in order to install/uninstall applications... (It'll take time to load all the list of applications in your mobile.. If there are many..) Be patient and then you can uninstall what you want to remove...
One more way though... You can go to the menu and where ever the unnecessary application shortcut is located... And click 'options' and select 'Organize'. Now select the one you want to uninstall and click again 'options' then select 'remove'.
That's easier than to use the default application uninstaller... But in that way you can't remove applications which are not in the menu... (such as plugins, themes etc..) In order to remove those you should use OVI installer...
Good luck brother...

This mobile has 2G... Further more, it has EDGE that is 2.5 G to 2.75 G... (Though it doesn't have 3G, the data rates are very close between 2.75 G and 3G)
Please refer following table.
Basic GSM (2G) – 14.4Kbps
GPRS (2.5G) - 48Kbps
EDGE (2.75G) - 236Kbps [64Kbps upstream]
UMTS (3G) - 384Kbps [64Kbps upstream]
HSPA (3.5G/3G+) –- 14.4Mbps [5.8Mbps upstream]
HSPA+ (3.5G/3G+) –- 42Mbps [22Mbps upstream]
Source: http://www.ispreview.co.uk/bro...d_mobile.php
So anybody can see there's no such big difference between 2.75G (which we have as EDGE Class 32) and 3G..
You will be able to connect with yahoo messenger and/or windows live messenger using Edge (2.5-2.75G) connection without any problem... Use the third party software (freeware) 'Nimbuzz' or 'Fring'... Using 'Fring' you can even make video calls via skype... (However, you can see the other person, but he/she can't see you...)
However compared to 3.5G internet connectivity EDGE is way too slow.. But compared to 3G, it's very close...

Thank You very much Nuwan for quick reply. You're right, I'm afraid to do it by my self. I'd rather go to nearest Nokia center for it. Thank You again Nuwan.

If this happens once in a while I think it's because you're still having the old firmware in your mobile... You'll have to update your firmware in this case...
If this happens always (or often) when you are answering a phone call... Then the problem should be with your battery contacts... I mean battery has been loosened and the contact between the battery and the phone's battery connectors might be not that good...
You can use small pieces of papers where ever you think loosening occurs.. And put some folded paper in between the battery and the battery cover... (Because battery cover in this mobile is bit loose...)
Hope this will help...

When using Sis Signer, you'll need 2 files which are particular to your mobile and your mobile only...
1) certificate file (Extension: *.cer)
2) Key file (Extension: *.key)
I'm pretty sure it won't ask a 'pass word' or something similar... I think you've misinterpreted this 'key' file as a 'pass word' file... Haven't you..?
Anyway, you will have to go to the following web site and register there...
http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_...ews-2832.php
And then you should upload your IMIE no to that web site and after 48 hours you can download your own Key file and certificate file...
You must do this procedure if you want your phone hacked...
Don't worry... It's not harmful because I've done it for several phones and not only me, thousands of people out there do this in order to hack their mobiles...

> In reply to bastigutz @ 2010-03-17 08:56 from sxw} - click to readDear bastigutz,
As to my personal experience 'Yeah... it's safe'
But there are people who've got bad experience in updating firmware... (problems like mobile never starts again..! I know that is weird...) But personally I haven't had such a problem with any mobile so far...
I guess you have the warranty for your 5530... Then you can take the risk and do the thing... Right...? My Nokia 5530 doesn't even have the warranty... But I went through the firmware update thing.. Nothing bad happened...
Anyway, you better back up all your private data before the update procedure... If you search in previous posts in this GSMarena site, you'll find a detailed set of instructions posted by me, in order to follow when updating the firmware...
Good luck brother..
