> In reply to LividLeon @ 2011-03-24 16:40 from LKpN - click to readWell 24 hours of music playback is for a fully charged phone in offline mode running only the music player and no other app/function,that's how they estimate it. :p

> In reply to sam @ 2011-04-15 08:38 from A9kY - click to readyes sam it does not run avi files. there's no divx support. so, smart movie is the best alternative. However the application is not that effective as it will run some movies (usually below 1gb). Plus if u fast forward, there might be a scrambly of scenes.....
so, i prefer u use ucplayer or divx player (ver 1.00).
and no, the new s/w update doesnt make it play .avi files.

Hi Guys,

Bought 5800 a few months back and now I i got the time to do some experimentation on it. Was not able to run .avi file and learned that only .mp4 file are recognized by 5800. Googled out if i could play .avi file; found an app-SMART MOVIE(it was free).. But the problem with this app was that the frame rate is very slow, so its not comfortable to watch movies on this software. decided to convert the .avi files to .mp4.. Converted a lot of file to .mp4, now some of the files play very well, and some of them error out with a common message stating"unable to play this file(or something similar)". Would be great if someone could answer the below questions:

-- My current OS version is V50.0.005(custom version 50.0.005.C03.01), does the the latest version play .avi files?

-- Also some of the .mp4 file which are erroring out are quite big files(>1GB), does the size of the file matter??

-- Is there a software which runs .avi files smoothly in our phones?? Also provide the link?

Thanks in advance

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2011-03-22 15:09 from uWN9 - click to readi think the reason may be that the wifi connection that u are trying to access has got some security keyword that needs to be specified when asked during connecting manually the wifi.once u specify it u can get access to the wifi source.i tried it out wid my friend's mobile.that's all the experience related to this problem i have got.just give it a try if u want.it is only one of the many problems that i have solved and faced.

> In reply to mark @ 2011-02-25 13:26 from v0qh - click to readThis is true the battery is terrible you get a day and a half with average use just like the 5320 XM don't know if the 3d image engine and the audio chip has a part to play. Cause that's like 3 processor.
My daily use:
Sometime 3/4 to a whole day stand bye.
2 Hours of light intermittent browsing.
20 minutes of video watching at high volume.
30 minutes of playing music at high volume.
Network mode in GSM only.
So I don't really understand where nokia get the estimation.
Similarly the 5320 XM say 24 hours of music playback bearly get four when connecting to a computer speakers thinks Nokia should emphasise on giving us a better estimate cause we do love you well.
I'm a die hard nokia fan waiting on all you Window Phone 7 os but using it as a primary os phone maybe in the 500us phone range when now launch.

> In reply to Percy @ 2011-03-21 09:18 from v{uH - click to readYou can't install a full flash player like a computer flash player cause it wouldn't work the only version that would work is the flash lite that is currently installed on the phone. There's nothing you can really do about it.
